2022 UPDATE: Just over a year since my last review. It was the most DISTURBING eating out experience in my 47 years. So, good and bad. Well, bad first.

BAD: If you're not sitting in a BLUE chair, find one and swap it out right away. My friend pulled out her gray metal chair, and one of the back legs was so badly bent that it fell over while she was sitting down. This caused her to fall onto her back hard. She has major spinal issues, and this caused her EXCRUCIATING PAIN. It was truly awful! As we gathered ourselves and as I looked at other gray chairs, I counted three others with mild to moderate bends in one of the back legs. This was the most terrible dining out experience. The staff did rush over to help. However, nothing from the check was offered. Although we stayed and finished our meals, it wasn't enjoyable.

The beef brisket in my friend's lunch was about 40% fat and just gross. It was like insult to actual injury. It was mentioned to the guy offering us refills, but nothing was done about it. I read my review from a year ago (below) and was reminded about the POOR QUALITY of their beef brisket. Hands down, you want Mission BBQ for a $22 beef brisket plate, NOT this!

The pulled pork on my Redneck Taco had waaay too many burnt ends. It's tasty on beef but not so much on pork in large amounts.

GOOD: The table service after the food came out was nice, but the bad experience with the chairs made us not so thirsty.

I was pleased to find sauce on the table where it wasn't there for years before, BUT it was so incredibly separated that even after shaking vigorously, it came out very much like mixing olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

2021 REVIEW: I've tried them many times over the last 7 years. Love their BBQ most of the time, but my first time trying the brisket it was very much like pot roast. I wish there was 25%-50% less ambiance and more attention to the side items. This is where competitors like Edley's thrive. Similarly, I love their Devil's Nectar sauce, but don't be so freaking stingy with it and other sauces! Put them on the table! Don't make me ask for more. C'mon! Other BBQ places don't do this! Overall, it's a bit like Applebys meets old people food trying way too hard to be a dive. Please...

Visiting for work and thought I would check this place out. Has a cool theme to it with garage doors that open out to the patio. Tons of bbq signs and license plates all over the wall. Walked in and went to the pickup area since we prepaid. Stood a few minutes while a few workers walked past us without acknowledging. Eventually someone got to us and got our order to us. I order the family meal with 1 lb of pork, and 1 lb of brisket, added on a slab of ribs. We had mac n cheese, green beans, and coleslaw for sides. The brisket was really good, the pulled pork was alright, I am a pulled pork snob so a bit picky. The spare ribs were okay, they were kinda dry imo. I ordered extra sauces with each of the meats, one of them was supposed to be spicy but we didn't get any that were spicy so not sure what sauce was what, since there were no stickers dictating what is what. The one sauce was thin and vinegary which i assume was the one paired with the pulled pork. The sauces were pretty decent. The coleslaw was not really my style, i like really creamy slaw just for reference. This one was kinda sweet and really thin sauce. The mac and cheese was pretty good, it was baked with cheese on top. The green beans are the large italian style with pretty good size chunks of pork, which i really enjoyed. Overall it's a pretty solid place, based on what i tried this place should be rated between a 4-4.5 so i think it's pretty accurately rated. Thanks for...

Nice BBQ place. We came at about 6pmish. This place is highly recommended, but I like to be the judge for myself so I went in with no expectations. I came with my wife and family visiting from Canada. I had the pulled pork as they unfortunately were out of the ribs when I visited (very sad about that). I found the pulled pork very tender, but it could use some seasoning. I used the BBQ sauce provided. To be honest, I think this is the first time I have had vinegar based BBQ sauce. It added a nice tangy flavor to the pork, but is it supposed to be very runny? It is possible that I am just used to the thicker based BBQ sauce (which I think I may have preferred). Again though, the sauce was not bad, just new to me. The Baked Beans was the star of this dish though 🤤. The BEST BAKED BEANS I HAVE EVER HAD! Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Whoever came up with that recipe deserves an award. All of my cousins agree on that as well. I also had the Mac and Cheese which was good. My cousin ordered the Beef brisket which he was highly pleased with. My wife had the 1/4 chicken with broccoli salad. I tried a piece and thought the chicken needed something as it seemed quite bland, but the sauce they give you with it adds some flavor. Next time I go back I hope to have the ribs, or I shall order the nachos my brother-in-law had as they looked really good too. My sister had the redneck taco. The slaw that comes with it is very delicious. I...

First stop in. Thats why 4 stars. I ll come back for sure. I had the redneck taco. Hoecakes( cornbread pancake), pulled pork, slaw and jack sauce ( vinegar based) with a side of mac n cheese and 1/2&1/2 sweet and unsweetened tea. A fork is the only way to eat this dish, no folding taco technique here. The texture of the hoecake was very good when paired with the tender pulled pork. I especially like the crispy pieces mixed into the meat. The slaw had an amazing mix, thinly sliced so a bite wasn't messy. I thought at first to ask for a different sauce because I'm a molasses based bbq person, but I went with the original dish and was not disappointed. Even added more at the table. The Mac an cheese is not your kids Mac n cheese. I wasn't so cheesy. A little dissapointed, it felt like more milk than cheese so the texture of the cheese broke and got grainy unless they added breadcrumb for texture which some do. But over all was good. I ate the whole dish and will more defiantly come back. The price was spot on as well.
