OK, I see all the 5 star ratings but our experience was more mixed with definite potential for a 5 star given the great design and makeover of a very tired space - congrats on the design. The favor of the food was good but one of our dishes was served cold and had to send it back; a few minutes later it was returned at the proper temperature. My martini was not served in a martini glass and after a long wait that was corrected and the second one was served in the proper glass. Salad was very good. Reservation process and attitude leaves a lot to be desired and my girlfriend and I both indicated it will be a long and slow summer if the attitude does not improve with the reception desk and some of the hosts. Server’s attitude was good though.
I understand the reservation process is changing soon to an online system - good. We called early in the afternoon and followed the direction of the recorded message which promised a returned call to confirm or help with the reservation. Later in the afternoon we called again and received a reservation much earlier than we desired. MY KEY POINT: When we arrived at the appointed time for our dinner, I politely asked about the reservation process and was told it was going to change to an online process. NO APOLOGY but just an arrogant comment about no reservations were available at the time we preferred (when we first called early in the afternoon maybe our preferred time was available) The host admitted they did not return calls from the messages left earlier in the day...... and, again, no real compassion for the customer nor an apology for our inconvenience.
Typically we dine out 2 - 3 times a week and we are year-round residents. So many good choices for dining in this area we just cannot understand why someone would invest considerable money in redesigning this restaurant and then treat people with a lack of respect...
Read moreStopped here after seeing so many great reviews, we were perplexed over which pino to order so we were giving little samples of two different ones, I thought that was really great, the cheese curds with summer sausage was absolutely incredible very simple tapas-style appetizer and will definitely be going back for that! We also had the skirt steak special which was delicious,,the Patatas Bravas were out of this world!! I was so thrilled to see them on the menu ! the outdoor seating was very beautiful my only complaint was we were getting bit by noseeums which is not the restaurants fault but they should have at least some bug spray available ❤️. And to finish the meal you're giving a small little bite of a rose gele ,,, not sure if I'm pronouncing that correctly but it was absolutely divine ,,, check them out I am sure it is locally owned and operated and everyone they're certainly had their heart...
Read moreFirst time visitor here. Good food, great decor, but really poor service tonight. Front of house had 1 person serving seated diners, 3-4 people dealing with bar stuff and drinks. We had to eventually chase down a waiter to provide our order because nobody was doing it if their own volition. That’s down to a 3 star review right there. It’s clear that people sitting down to eat are very low on the priority list for the staff tonight. And since they don’t have a host/hostess (they have a station for one and it’s 7:00 on Friday so don’t know why not) I had to get up multiple times to close the front door that stays open to keep from being blinded while eating until the sun went down. Definitely lost a star for making me have to get up from my meal multiple times to close their front door. Never had to do that before in my life that I can recall.
