Hog Snappers was a great experience, I have been here a few times before. The location is unassuming, as it sits in the middle of a strip mall. The white lights they hung on the outside did a nice job of dressing it up and setting the mood for an evening meal, although we went for a late Sunday lunch the day of the AFC/NFC Championship games (NFL). When we arrived, they might have been at half occupancy, so we didn't have a wait (which was nice) but it quickly filled up. There was good diversity between the patrons as well. The service overall was great. We asked a lot of our waitress and she delivered. For starters (this rarely happens), we had to swap out a sweet tea (subpar flavor) and a coke (flat). We subbed those 2 out for a strawberry lemonade which was absolutely fantastic (5 out of 5). For our appetizers, we ordered the Crab Cake and the Lobster Bisque. While tasty, the primary meat in the Lobster Bisque was fish, however - the lobster was tough to find in it. For entrees, we had the Snapper Sandwich (asked to swap the cole slaw for lettuce), the Chef's Choice roll, and the Hogfish roll. The Snapper Sandwich was exceptionally dry, as they forgot to add the tartar sauce, and the spicy remoulade. Last, but not least, for dessert we ordered and devoured the Zert Roll (5 out of 5). It was unlike any other dessert we've ever had - I highly recommend you try it! Note: there is limited outdoor seating and they are expanding!!

I really enjoyed this gem of a place... the service was outstanding, if someone got busy another person would jump in... they knew the menu well and made decent suggestions. The sushi was delicious and well put together not what you would expect from a place that isn’t a full Japanese restaurant. We had the house ceviche and it was well balanced and well delivered. The presentation sold it before it landed down the hatch. We had two sandwiches. The steam and shrimp with cheese, onions and peppers was a combination of several foods I love. This sandwich was incredibly satisfying. The fried snapper sandwich was seasoned nicely as it sat on top of a small heap of cole slaw. I had to hit it with some cocktail sauce and mustard for my own particular taste but it was a home run as well. The fries on both dishes were fried extra crispy the way I like... I didn’t have to request it that way, they just came out perfect. The salt was a bit heavy so maybe ask for light salt. One last thing... let’s talk about the bread. Both sandwiches sat on this delicious possibly homemade bread. Toasted to perfect with a decent crunchy outside yet fluffy on the inside.

Veronica and I, along with our trusted mascot 🐊Swampy, set out on a Friday for an adventure to Hog Snappers on U.S. Highway 1 in Tequesta, Florida. We started with some signature cocktails from their menu, which were very good and refreshing after a hot day in the Florida sun. We had the Ceviche (Hog's Signature), which was bursting with flavor, featuring fresh seafood and greens—a true delight. The Crab Cake has to be one of the best, if not the best, we've ever had. Vic's dad is from Maryland, so that kind of compliment from him is saying a lot. The Crab Cake, served on a bed of coleslaw topped with corn, bacon, and other delightful seasonings, was out of this world. If you're looking for a great seafood place that is casual yet classy, Hog Snappers is the place to be. 🐊Swampy gives it 5 stars, and he will be back for more!

Loved it! Took a day trip to Blowing Rocks Preserve and we ate here afterwards. Staff was extremely friendly and I loved the music that was playing (raggae and other hits). The decor was very nice, like upscale dive bar but seating was arranged to be very accommodating to big groups (very comfortable). Firstly, the paper straws were a big plus as I'm a major environmentalist and we're at by the beach and turtle nesting area. We had the stone crab chowder, hogg snapper lobster bisque, fish sandwich, and fish tacos. Everything was delicious!! Soups were $12 for 16 oz which was easily shared and we all ended taking food home. Topped it all off with two beers from Tequesta Brewing next door which was also great. Definitely recommend this place and make sure you visit Blowing Rocks Preserve while you're in the area!

We came for dinner right after happy hour ended. Every table was full and there was a party waiting for a table in front of us so I expected a wait but the staff kept walking by us and no one acknowledged our presence. Even when the host came by to get the group in front of us he still didn’t acknowledge us. We didn’t end up waiting long for the table and our waiter was very attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious as well. My kids really enjoyed the kids sushi donut. The seasoning on my fried hogfish was amazing. The paella was well prepared as well. The dessert roll was so good I wished I ordered two. There are multiple TVs in there and with a full restaurant it does get very loud. Some of the tables are very close together so it’s not easy to get around to the restroom in the back.
