I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hog Snapper in Tequesta, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the delectable appetizers to the mouthwatering main courses and irresistible desserts, Hog Snapper delivered a culinary journey that left me thoroughly impressed and craving for more.
We started our meal with the Calamari appetizer, and it was a delightful choice. The calamari was perfectly cooked, boasting a crispy exterior while maintaining its tender texture inside. The accompanying dipping sauce provided a zesty kick that enhanced the overall flavor profile. It was a promising start that set the stage for the culinary delights to come.
For our main courses, we opted for the Lobster Roll and the Snapper. The Lobster Roll was a true highlight, featuring generous portions of succulent lobster meat nestled in a fluffy bun. The combination of sweet lobster and the light tang of the accompanying sauce was a match made in culinary heaven. The Lobster Roll was a perfect harmony of flavors and textures, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients and the skill of the chef.
Equally impressive was the Snapper main course. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, with a delicate flavor that allowed the natural essence of the snapper to shine through. The accompanying sides complemented the dish wonderfully, providing a well-rounded and satisfying culinary experience. The presentation was impeccable, adding an artistic touch to the already delightful dish.
As we moved on to dessert, we were treated to the heavenly duo of Churros and Lava Cake. The Churros were delightfully crisp on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. Each bite was a sugary delight, especially when paired with the luscious vanilla ice cream. And then came the Lava Cake, a decadent masterpiece. The rich, warm chocolate center oozed out as we dug our spoons into the cake, creating a symphony of flavors that tantalized the taste buds and left us in awe.
While the staff at Hog Snapper was mediocre, I still found them to be pleasant and accommodating. Though they may not have gone above and beyond, they were attentive enough to ensure our needs were met and our dining experience was enjoyable. Their friendly demeanor added a touch of warmth to the overall atmosphere.
In conclusion, Hog Snapper in Tequesta is a culinary gem that delivers an exquisite dining experience. From the delectable Calamari appetizer to the tantalizing Lobster Roll and perfectly cooked Snapper, each dish is a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. The Churros and Lava Cake provide a sweet ending that is simply irresistible. Despite the staff being mediocre, their pleasantness still contributed to the overall positive experience. If you're seeking a delightful gastronomic adventure, Hog Snapper is a must-visit. I look forward to returning and indulging in their exceptional...
Read moreWe have been coming to this restaurant for years. We have always had a wonderful experience. We were there last night for my wife's birthday. Our waitress was extremely poor - a young lady who lacked humility, accountability, and professionalism. She did not return to the table for about 20 minutes after our food was served. We needed drink refills, napkins, and the usual. We then ordered dessert with the caveat that it is a birthday celebration. Another waitress literally threw the dessert on the table without spoons and without a candle. Unbelievable, right? Our waitress then returned, and we notified her of this mishap, and instead of taking responsibility for it, her response was that "I told the kitchen." We then proceeded to express our dissatisfaction with her lack of accountability. She could have easily said wait a moment I will be back immediately with a candle, because I understand how important this birthday celebration is to you and I want to apologize for the mishap. Instead, she walked away sulking and saying a vile four four letter word.
Thankfully, the manager came over and we were able to explain the situation. She was professional and empathetic.
It is unfortunate that this occurred. While it is understandable that the waiters and waitresses are under stress, they do have a responsibility to the clients. And when one chooses to celebrate their birthday at this establishment, that is a compliment, and the staff should take that seriously without attitude, but rather with professionalism and friendliness. Saying a four letter word under your tongue to clients is low class and simply unacceptable - grounds for expulsion in most professional environments. Dropping the ball on someone's special birthday moment is also inexcusable. Taking accountability and demonstrating humility in a restaurant environment is crucial - Hogsnappers should use this as an opportunity to educate their young servers who have clearly lost sight of the impact their behavior has on the clients'...
Read moreI have never been more appalled or shocked by a restaurant staff in my entire life let alone the way it was handled!!
Upon ordering dinner I informed my server of my shellfish allergy and I ordered a spicy tuna roll but instead I was served a shrimp tempura roll. SHRIMP. TEMPURA. ROLL. Even though I told the waitress that I was a very allergic to shellfish (including but most importantly shrimp) the staff messed up and served me a shrimp tempura rolll. (Accidents happen I get it but how it was handled is why I’m upset)
Fast forward to dinner where I almost take a bite of what is supposed to be my Spicy tuna roll but quickly noticed the “tuna” looked weird so I called the manager over. Instead of the manager apologizing to me about their obvious mistake he told me “nice job noticing that and thanks for not taking a bite” ????? I thought he was joking but clearly was not.
That was the one and only apology I got and the only item that was taken care of on our meal was our 1 roll that obviously wasn’t touched. The manger probably wouldn’t have talked to me if I didn’t call him over twice.
Didn’t apologize for anything, didn’t try to fix the situation nor did either manager care about this situation in the slightest so I urge you to NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES or expect your meal to be handled professionally.
Disgusted by tonight’s management with not one but TWO different managers. Jared and Chris. Disgusting excuse for managers and a way to run...
