Late bite @ the bar on a Saturday evening in the middle of summer. Place almost empty .
The lady serving behind the bar backed up with only a 2 people sitting at the bar. She did apologize for the wait and presented the menu
Opted for their reuben sandwich which had as side choices : fries | truffle fries | green salad . Chose truffle fries
When the food arrived, have inquired on any dressing options I can deep my fries in. The lady behind the bar suggested the garlic aioli which ended up being a good recommendation despite the 2 oz serving size
Food was delicious and well executed however I found this restaurant to be somewhat overpriced and tacky | petty for the following reasons :
to charge $2.50 for a side of 2 oz of dressing it would seem to be a little bit out of norm especially that they are not a Michelin star rated restaurant [or maybe not yet 😉]
when questioning the lady behind the bar on the $5 charge for 2 sides of 2 oz dressings : garlic aioli + caesar, informing her that I found it awkward to charge for dressing, she became somewhat passive - aggressive stating that all their dressings are made in house which is great however maybe there should be more transparency and disclose to your customers that you are planning to charge $2.50 for a side of 2 oz of dressing ? when placing the order
Like dining at a steakhouse and deciding to share a steak with the other party and the server will "conveniently overlook" to inform you that there is a $10 sharing charge when placing your inutial order
As mentioned previously, the ordered sandwich was the reuben which on the menu was listed @ $18 and when the bill has arrived, the $18 price has "magically" transformed into $20. When this "magic trick" has been presented to the lady behind the bar, she was clearly bothered stating that there was a $2 upcharge for the truffle fries therefore = hocus 🎊 pocus 🎉 the new $20 price 😉 When informing the lady behind the bar that there was not any mentioning in the menu of a $2 upcharge for "truffle fries upgrade" , she completely brushed me off stating that there was mentioned in the menu, clearly her being annoyed and aggravated that I caught on their "magic trick" 🎉🎊
CC processing fee added to the total amount on the check
Air Conditioning not working properly to the point where 1 of the 2 patrons from the bar had to purchase a beer to cool off
Everyone works hard for their money | livelihood therefore truly hoping that sharing this dining experience will raise full awareness to future patrons into "studying" this restaurant's menu carefully and asking the correct questions about any potential upcharges as their staff might "conveniently overlook" to...

If I could give MOOD more than 5 stars, I would. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an ambiance that’s warm and inviting—perfect for date nights, catch-ups with friends, or even solo foodie adventures. The modern, earthy décor pairs beautifully with the chill playlist featuring some of my favorite music. Appropriately named MOOD, this restaurant truly sets the mood for a wonderful evening.
Now, let’s talk about the food... The appetizers alone are worth the trip. Each bite bursts with flavor, and the sauces? Creamy, luscious, and so indulgent that you’d swear they were made with dairy. But no—it’s pure plant-based magic. Honestly, I’d struggle to find a dairy-based dressing or aioli that could compete with some of MOOD’s offerings. Every dish feels like it’s been crafted with so much care and love, and you can taste it in every bite.
Even the cocktail and mocktail options are impressive! As you walk towards the bar you are instantly greeted with a burst of freshness from the cucumbers, citrus, and herbs from the deliciousness being mixed behind the bar.
And here’s the cherry on top: their commitment to sustainability. The earth-friendly takeout containers, complete with adorable smiley faces, are such a thoughtful touch. It’s clear that MOOD cares about the planet just as much as they care about creating incredible food.
I love the vibe, the décor, the tunes, and above all, I really love the food. MOOD is everything I could ask for and more. Do yourself a favor—go now. You...
Read moreWhile I’m not vegan, this was my second time to MOOD, and the best word to describe it is “Beautiful!” From the ambiance to the energy of the staff, the presentation and flavors of the food - Everything was beautiful! . Our appetizer was bruschetta - While the bread wasn’t Gluten Free, I scraped off the topping that was so fresh with tomato, onion, capers, olives, garlic, and basil. Yum! . My date for the night had Mood’s ‘TOP’ Ramen - A “Top” notch ramen. She loved the flavors, and I’ve never seen a Ramen loaded with so many veggies! . I had the Mongolian Tofu Stir-fry Pan-fried tofu, broccolini, bell peppers, shitake mushrooms, green onions in an addictive sweet and savory Mongolian sauce with crispy jasmine rice. I loved the flavors, but I also loved how the veggies weren’t overly cooked or soggy with sauce which can happen in stir fry. . All of it was so delicious, but the. Portions were also so big, we both have leftovers for lunch the next day! . The grand finale was their vegan, gluten free chocolate cheesecake. Light, smooth, and not too sweet, with a nutty, date crust. It was the perfect end to a great meal! . The vibes were on point for a relaxing, intimate dinner, complete with friendly and accommodating staff that would bend over backwards to make sure you had an...
