Palm Beach Ice Cream — Restaurant in Tequesta

When we moved to the area we were VERY excited to try this place, we love ice cream! I love supporting local places and the idea of having one homeade good ice cream shop to stop after dinner etc to start traditions. We have been there now about a dozen times and every single time it's the same grumpy guy behind the counter. He never greets anyone who comes in, barely even looks up when you enter, and acts like he will die if he has to scoop another scoop of ice cream!! He is sarcastic, rude, and impatient. He asked me cone or cup and I changed my mind(before he even started scooping) to a cone and he threw the cup and snatched the cone! Come on!! I paid for one 2 scoop and one pint. I asked for 1 sugar cone and 1 cake cone. When I got receipt i was charged for a cone. When I asked the girl working she told me “I was told to charge if you only get one ice cream” I got one 2 scoop and a pint… it’s the principle. I’ve been multiple times and each time it’s different. Sometimes they scam and charge for a cone sometimes they don’t. This place has gone down hill TREMENDOUSLY in the past couple of years. The inconsistency is concerning. I will never come back. We used to love to go with the kids and my Dad loved the cones but...I went the other day for a milkshake for my 91 year old Mother who is having trouble with her appetite after a stroke and the person behind the counter all but ignored me and I was the only one there. He acted like he was doing me a favor with a rotten attitude and no manners while I ordered 2 TEN DOLLAR milkshakes because I wasn't sure which she'd actually like.
