My husband and I were heading back from Canada when we decided to find a place to get a bite. The weather was a bit blustery and cold, so we decided to find a place that we could possibly get a warm home-cooked stew or soup. They don't serve a typical Irish stew, it's more like a hearty potato and meat dish served with warm fresh bread and softened butter... it was delicious. The noises my husband made while eating his lightly battered fried cod sandwich was something out of when Harry met Sally. The Server then brought him a complimentary biscuit and gravy plate and let me tell you, that man was in heaven! My husband is very particular about his biscuits and southern sausage gravy. He's been known to actually go into a kitchen and make their gravy for them... He takes it that seriously. So when he told me it was one of the best he had ever had, thick with sausage, and redolent with the proper amount of black pepper, I wanted to try it but my stew was too good to put down, even for a moment, lol. What took the cake however was their coleslaw... It was homemade perfection! Served chilled, the cabbage was shaved into delicate thin ribbons that were garbed in a delectably creamy, mildly sweet, wonderfully delicious dressing. I parted with my spoon for a moment to savour that bite... Mmmmmmm. This place has the friendliest, fastest service you could ever ask for. The food was absolutely delicious and worth the stop. My one regret is that too far away for us to try their "Weiner" specials which are only served on Tuesday. I guess the next trip we take, we'll just have to make sure we're in the area...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience here. We were recommended here and was meeting up with family. To start our waitress was very rude. We had easy 20 people there and they wouldnāt connect us another table so some of us had to stand. When receiving our food the bartender spelt my beer on me and just walked away. When I asked him about it he told me ā I caught the beer from spilling more on you, you should be thanking meā at this point I was just fed up. Btw not one person working there would tell me the name of the guy who spilt my beer on me. So I ask for the manager and find out itās the waitress that has been giving us attitude. She wouldnāt even come back to the table to ask us to close out. She was told what happen and didnāt come up and say anything. We had to walk up to the bar to ask for our bill. Some waitress we had never seen came up and said ā I was told to give this to youā and handed us the bill and never heard from the āmanagerā again. Sorry for the long comment but I was fed up with these ppl all night. My family easily spent more than a thousand dollars at this place. Donāt go...

I came here with my partners expecting a simple meal and good company. Instead, I was kicked out because I didnāt have two forms of IDāeven though Iām well over 21 (I couldn't pass as 21 if I tried!) and had zero intention of drinking. I just wanted a lemonade and grilled cheese.
What kind of establishment demands two forms of ID just to be seated? Especially when I watched the staff warmly greet other tables without asking for ID at all. Not once did I see anyone else questioned like I was.
When I came back laterāstill not ordering alcohol, mind youāthe waitress who initially made me leave refused to even acknowledge me. She spoke to my partners, asked if they needed anything, checked on their meals, and gave me the coldest shoulder Iāve experienced in any restaurant. Not a glance. Not a word.
The whole experience was humiliating, exclusionary, and just plain mean. If youāre looking for a place that treats customers with basic decency, I suggest you look...
