I have wanted to try more Indian food. It's not something my parents ever ate and I have only ever been to the other Indian restaurant in town. I really need a restaurant to be very clean. I thought this placed looked that from the pictures online. Good news, it's very clean!

Wife and I are both vegan. The menu has items marked with a "V" but it's difficult to read. Some items are clearly marked, some aren't marked at all because they're on the "vegetable page" of the menu. However, some items on that page appear to have some kind of cheese. Watch for items marked with a "D" for dairy. My wife ordered something marked with the "V" and I got something that sounded vegan but didn't have the "V" next to it.

I do think the bridge is cool but my mother would have a hell of a time getting in and out of there. The bridge is curved and is pretty steep. I thought it was a nice touch.

We sat near the bar for dinner. I think buffets are gross so we waited and skipped having lunch there. I'm sure you can order off the menu at lunch too. The bar was nice and the family/party room in the back was cool.

My wife ordered Aloo Katar Tarkari (potato/jackfruit) and I had Baigan Baharta (eggplant). We also had an order of vegetable samosas (2 each). Our server was nice and did a great job. Food was quick and everything was exceptionally good.

I appreciate the dipping sauces for the samosas coming out in our own little trays. The time I went to the other place in town we got the containers with spoons in them and we were to get our own. It appeared the containers were passed around from table to table. This was much better.

We both loved the samosas (they were so damn good)! The sweet red sauces was our favorite. The main dishes were both tasty. She preferred the potato and jackfruit and I think I preferred the eggplant. The rice was really good too. We wimped out and opted for mild spice. It was great but I'm interested in trying a little more spice next time. The complimentary brown of edamame was also delicious and appreciated. It was a nice meal and neither of us felt stuffed.

I had a couple of issues with the place but didn't say anything. There were little gnats in the dining room. The little buggers couldn't stay away from our food. I could tell by waving hands that other guests were having issues with them too. My other issue is kind of a big one. I watch one of the guys, I think he is the bartender, cough into both of his hands. That was pretty gross. He used both hands open to cover and didn't bother...

This place was excellent! You're treated like royalty when you walk in, being greeted by any and all members of the wait staff as soon as you walk in or by them. The place is open and very roomy.

The food was absolutely excellent. We got chicken momo to try as an appetizer, and while the server told us that one sauce with it was mild and the other was spicy, both were fantastic. The "spicy" wasn't a hot kind of spicy, just more enriched with spices that give it an excellent flavor. We also got vegetable pakora, and the outside was hot and crispy, with the inside being soft and flavorful. You could tell that the tamarind chutney and mint chutney that came with them were very fresh! The mint chutney almost had a cilantro taste to it as well, and my wife was in love with it.

The butter chicken, while not as creamy and I've had at other places, was perfect. The roasted tomato flavor of the sauce really rang through, where at other places can really be subdued by too much cream or sweetness in the sauce. This was a perfect blend and am very happy with my choice. My wife tried the chicken kadhai and was pleased with it as well.

The service was excellent, refilling water or checking on you very frequently. The level of care put into everything was above and beyond. My wife asked for a few pieces of lemon for her water, and they were delivered on their own plate, all sliced perfectly and intricately laid out for display.

I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone, and will return....

I've been able to check out this restaurant twice in the last 2 weeks, and both times were extraordinary. The waiters are attentive and kind. It has a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere, and it's spotless every time. The food is so mouth-watering delicious that it makes you crave coming back before you even leave. I have gone to the lunch buffet both times, and each time, the food bar is clean, filled, and has a great selection to choose from. The chicken Tikka Masala is my favorite, and each time, the meat and sauce have been cooked to perfection. The Naan bread is always cooked fresh and perfect with any meal. We did have a slight issue with a my card being ran for a slightly different amount, but the gentleman running the place, automatically came out and fixed the issue, refunded me and even automatically went to fix the issue with their machine. This is a place that I will continue to go to in the future quite frequently while in the Terre Haute area. If you want true Indian food and to be able to experience a large selection of items at an amazing price, then this is definitely a place worth...
