Bebo's Lounge & Night Club — Restaurant in Texas

I’m giving this place one star because of a very disappointing recent experience. This was only my second time visiting — the first time was great when it wasn’t busy. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different.

It was a busy night, and right after the last call for food orders, I decided to order something to eat. I waited for over an hour, and by the time I realized my food still hadn’t come out, the bar had already closed. Everyone was leaving, and staff members were cleaning and closing up while I was still waiting.

I asked several times and was told “10 more minutes,” but nothing ever came. When I finally asked for a refund, they said they couldn’t issue one because they had already closed out the register and instead offered me a free drink — which didn’t make sense, considering I just wanted the food I paid for.

Later, I was told the fryer had broken, but if that was the case, I don’t understand why they continued taking food orders so close to closing time. I wasn’t the only one upset — another table who had been waiting for their wings all night got frustrated as well.

I didn’t leave until about 2:45–2:50 AM, long after closing, and when I finally received my order, it was wrong. I had ordered lemon pepper wings but received plain wings that were extremely salty.

As someone who works in the customer service field, I’m usually very understanding — things happen, and I know what it’s like to deal with busy nights. But this situation was handled so poorly that I just couldn’t overlook it. I usually don’t write reviews unless I’ve had an exceptionally good or bad experience, and unfortunately, this was a terrible one — a really disappointing way to end my night.

Really sad because I wanted to support this spot so badly since there aren’t a lot of black spaces in Austin. But my first experience here will be my last. First off, we found this place on Eventbrite. I’ll attach the flyer. Whoever is in charge of handling their online flyers really f’d us over. It clearly says Saturday, may 3. Also says no cover charge if you RSVP. We get there and are told to pay 20 DOLLARS EACH. No apologies, no accommodation for the false advertisement on the flyer. Very much just, “oh we don’t know anything about that. We don’t know what to tell you.” Ok. Cool. Then on top of that, we sit down and there’s gar tobacco all over the table and weed shake. Bus boys aren’t doing anything quite literally. Ordered wings and asked for ketchup. Bus boy quite literally rolled is eyes, came back with packs of ketchup and slammed them on the table. No joke.

So long story short. Disorganized, unprofessional, false-advertising, dirty, bad service.

The best thing about the whole night was that we got to see some new female rap artist. They really outshined the dudes so it was cool to see them perform and shine. Other than that, I wouldn’t come back here. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone come here (and if you do, call first to make sure you don’t get scammed...

This was my 1st time rolling through Bebo's Lounge & Night Club! I Was invited to see what this spot was all about on a Saturday Night with DJ 100Stakks! Let me start by saying, when u first step foot in the door you are hit with that "You Belong Here" let's chill together for a moment type of vibing atmosphere! In addition to the smiling faces behind the bar, there are Multi screens throughout the place so you can catch the game from wherever you sit. This place also has enough room to move around comfortably with your crew or your hottie by your side. I suppose if you wanted to get up and dance you could. The Seating is well placed so you can access the bar and bathroom freely without spilling your drink or bumping into somebody. The bartenders and waitresses are also alert and attentive which is much appreciated after a long day battling the world! There is nothing like enjoying a nice beverage that's made just right.
