Bogies Pub and grill Pearland — Restaurant in Texas

As a sheriffs deputy I liked to spend my off days with my wife on the patio relaxing and smoking my cigars. We would go to this place maybe once a week or sometimes skip a week if we had other plans. The food was pretty good but the service sucked but we continued to go because it wasn’t too far from our house and we liked the patio. At first the service was ok but then the little short white lady started serving on the patio and she would skip all over us every time we went. We showed up tonight and started smoking our cigars and watching the NBA playoffs and again she skipping all over us and we sat for 30mins watching her slowly go to other tables go inside for about 5-10mins and come back out going to other tables. Mind you we still haven’t gotten a menu or anything. The patio is not full whatsoever, maybe 5 table including us. My wife calls on the phone and asked for service. We’re still waiting and we don’t really need a menu because we already know what we want because we order the same thing every time we go. At this point we are pissed and about 50mins later I go in with my cigar in hand and the guy tells me I can’t be in here with my cigar. I know I was wrong for going inside with my cigar but I was just trying to get someone to come out and talk to me. I tell him hey can someone come talk to me because everyone outside is being served but us and it’s not the first time. He proceeds to curse me out and say you want be served and you have to go. So I leave out and tell my wife to come on let’s go. We’re not coming back here anymore. I don’t know why we kept going after being served badly so many times but we did. We always went and sat on the patio and sometimes invited friends to come with us, but never again. We came to the realization that she serves who she wants to serve. The way they treat people is not right at all. We were always respectful to the establishment and always waited patiently but it made no sense to continue to avoid serving us and we’ve never done anything to any one. I hope no one else has to experience the same issue. This is not the way I want to spend my off time trying to have a decent outing with my wife. Beware!

We receive great service from them/her one time and that’s when our friend from Serbia came with us who also came with us and frequent the establishment just as much as we did. I mean the lady came to our table before we even sat down and she knew his order and everything. Food came out fast and she came to our table numerous times to see if we needed anything else, but before and after that day, complete TRASH service. We even joked about it and told him he needs to come with us more often because she never served us this well. I mean to sit with no service, no menus, no food, no drinks, is horrific and seeing everyone else eat and the place wasn’t even crowded for nearly an hour isn’t right at all. Bogie's is the most chill sports bar in Pearland. Many regulars go here. It is a bit wild on Friday and Saturday nights, as the majority of the patrons are in their 20's, but for the most part the place is a drama-free experience. Saturday nights there is a live band. Karaoke night is on Wednesday, and I've seen it happen inside when it's cold and outside when it's not (the same for the live band on Saturday). They have a full bar with varying beers on-tap. They have recently simplified and revised their food menu, and the food is decent. I recently tried the steak quesadillas and they were killer. They have a steak special every Monday which is a must-try. You get a 14 oz. rib-eye, loaded baked potato, and a side, usually fried okra or green beans, for $15.50. I am not exaggerating when I say that the fried okra is the best I've ever eaten, every time I've had it, and I've had it probably 20 times. The steaks are cooked on the patio by the boss, Jerrimy, who is truly a master at grilling by having perfected his craft by cooking thousands of steaks over many years, and he is perhaps the best at seasoning a piece of meat I've ever had... I like to sit out there on the patio and enjoy a cigar and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. The inside is big and roomy (and temperature-controlled) and I have become friends with all the people who have worked there over many years. This bar is where you go when you want to unwind and hang out with cool people. The staff always make me feel wanted and appreciated, they go out of their way to take good care of me and visit with me, so much so that we have surpassed the professional relationship and become friends. Jerrimy, Nathan, Jaime, Bryan, Ashley, Chris, Becca, and recent Grazia recruit Forrest are all awesome people! Bogie's Pearland is definitely a place you want to be familiar with if you live in the area! I’ve came here before a few times and had a great time. The night life is very fun and lively but Jacqueline ensured it wasn’t fun during the day. I walked in with my boyfriend and there were less than 10 gentlemen in the establishment. It’s a dark establishment with the top of the outside portion filled by glass. We walked in when the wind was blowing and caused the door to slam behind us and got looks from everyone letting me know we were seen. She has her attention directed towards customers so we took our time trying to decide our drink choice. I noticed her moving to a back room and returning with a bar table game so thought she was grabbing the customer’s information for the game. She then proceeded to play, so I called for her attention. I said ‘Excuse me?’ A few times before I was acknowledged but it was a large bar and music playing. I understand the music could have disrupted her hearing me. No worries. I asked if we could order a drink. She carded us. No problem and swiped our cards and brought us back a receipt that stated the location required membership proof. I was unaware if terms changed since my last visit and asked about it. She told me the place is a private, members only bar. I thought that odd since I hadn’t heard that before. Considering it’s a ‘members only bar’ maybe learn to fill the toilet paper properly and efficiently would help the members feel better appreciated also. Never took a card, brought out beers and then asked if I wanted to close. I closed. I heard her greet following customers and I was the only one that got that greeting. I understand if everyone is a member but as a person with industry experience you should give attention to new customers when they arrive within a certain amount of time so they feel acknowledged and their business is appreciated.
