Wild Pear Running — Local services in Pearland

I had a prescription for custom orthotics that would have cost around $3,000. However, since I could think of about 1 million things I would rather spend $3,000 on, my PT told me about a machine that would test the way I stood and walked on my feet and use that information to tell me what (non-custom) shoe insert would work best for me. He gave me the name of two stores in Pearland that had this machine, but I couldn't remember the names, so I did a Google search and found Wild Pear Running. I went there to see if by chance they had this machine, and they did! Trevor welcomed me into the store and was so kind to help me, which I was so thankful for because if I had tried to figure out that machine out on my own, I would probably still be there. :-) He also picked out some shoes for me to try on that he thought would work well with the inserts. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. As it turns out, this was not one of the places that my PT had suggested, but I was thankful that it was the first place that I stopped at to find this machine. Updated 5/16/22 - I returned after reading David's reply to my original post to give them a second chance. I am pleased to say that my second visit went much better and staff was very helpful. While I was not helped by David (he was busy helping other customers), I did get the service and guidance I needed to pick the right shoes for my feet and goals. I purchased a pair and I am very happy so far with the fit and feel. I would recommend them to others and glad I went back.

Original - Visited the store and was excited to have someone assist me in finding a set of good running shoes. There were several others being attended to when I arrived so I waited. Walked around and waited. Went to the counter and stood behind someone else waiting and a staffer asked if they needed assistance and then walked right past me. Oct 2019, bought a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music watch. My 3 year old Garmin Forerunner 235 is fine, but I'm ready to get voice prompts and listen to Music while running.
