One of the worst places about these little hole in the wall eateries in my opinion, is the lack of counter help. Understand, I was in the restaurant business for over 20 years and at no time it's the counter to be left unattended. How can a business expect to make any money unless someone is there to take the order. It is a very very simple rule. I I walked in and there were three people in front of me, standing there, agitated and waiting for someone to offer them service. 10 minutes later, someone comes from the back and places a order on the counter, look for the pad, and then takes the order to a table where a couple has apparently shut down out of exhaustion. The kind of person offered no apologies to us standing in line. The first gentleman had an order that was actually quite simple and yet the counterperson was apparently not focused enough to take the order correctly, repeating the items that the gentleman had ordered completely wrong from what he wanted. Several minutes later she finally had it right and disappeared into the back. After 5 minutes, I walked out, amazed that somehow this wreck of a restaurant was open. Every time I get food from here something is WRONG! Yesterday was the last straw! I ordered a Mother’s special along with other items and the lady repeated what I said and asked how many garlic sauces I wanted. I went in to pick up my order and she had me pay first! When my food came out the special was not in their but the extra garlic sauce I purchased with the special was! She told me a bold face lie instead of adding the special as I asked. I have called in to complain every time regarding my order and have had to go back to get forgotten items. The owner makes you feel as if you did something wrong (Arrogant) when it’s really their fault! Customer service should be A1 during this time (Quarantine) especially!
