Busy Boy in Richmond, Houston is a sweet little dessert and cafe spot that delivers both flavor and presentation. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with plenty of seating and a menu that covers everything from classic desserts to bold international flavors. We tried the three chocolate crepe, dulce de leche crepe, and their knefa—all three were solid. The crepes were warm, generously filled, and drizzled with just the right amount of topping. The three chocolate was rich without being too heavy, while the dulce de leche had that smooth, caramel-like sweetness that paired perfectly with the soft crepe. The knefa was a nice surprise—crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside, and topped with just the right amount of syrup. It wasn’t overly sweet, which made it a nice contrast to the crepes. We also got a desi chai and a Turkish coffee—both served hot and flavorful. The chai had that strong, spiced taste you’d expect, and the Turkish coffee was bold and smooth with a good finish. It’s a great spot for dessert or late-night hangouts, especially if you’re looking to mix sweet with some warm drinks. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and solid food all around.

So, we were in the mood for some healthy Mediterranean food, and this place was recommended by Google Maps and so we decided to order some falafels, hummus, and a Greek salad. Dear lawd! I was not ready for the absolutely amazing flavor that my tongue experienced! I tried the Greek salad first and it was just a knock out! Then I tried the warm, crispy on the outside, falafels... At this point I knew I was going to be a return customer! So I finished my equally amazing humus and drove back home. I'm just going to say that I have personally never had Greek food this good in a restaurant, let alone a casual restaurant like Busy Boy. The employees personalities were also very welcoming and attentive. This is easily a 5 star review! No joke, I forgot to take pictures of my food as I was too busy eating it. Next time.

If there is a no star I will do. Bad experience. First, the place needs to be more clean. The owner is all over the place and does not know how to run his restaurant and his crew..Second, as for the food, my chicken kabob is a bit dry, not well season and slightly burnt. A tiny piece of tomoto and a piece of onion. That's so cheap. It's far away from being called a Mediterranean dish. Furthermore, you only get a tiny pita bread for your whole $16+ Taxes chicken plate with Humus! That's not enough!! when asked for more bread, they charged me 1.6$. Its a shock!! What a steal!!. The whole bag of bread is sold for $1.50 at the shops!!. Last, definitely not going back again. :(

I came here starving like a horse. I was nearly 5pm and I hadn’t eaten all day. The first setback was that they have a sign by the register that says “exit” indicating that you pay there. Then there’s another sign that says “start” which brings you to the other end of where they prep the food. (kind of like Subway) As soon as I follow their instructions and get in line where it says “start” the little skinny boy behind the register tells me that the line starts at the register where it says “exit” when I ask why the confusion with the signs and he indicated that that’s the way they do it. Then I ordered my food. I was the only person at the restaurant while the line employees are standing there watching paint dry— the little skinny boy behind the register tells me after I pay that I have to wait 15 minutes for my food. I ordered a gyro wrap. And he tells me that “this isn’t fast food”. Then the manager pantomimed cutting lettuce with a sarcastic grin. Well in fact ... IT IS FAST FOOD. As long as there a fountain drink station for my refills and I have to order my food at a counter— it sure ain’t Commander’s Palace. Once I got my plate. I got pre-made pita bread(not handmade like most authentic middle eastern restaurants, the salad was drenched in olive oil and my fountain drink in a styrofoam cup with no logo. So guess what Amir? This IS fast food. My favorite go-to middle eastern restaurant is called Pasha’s in San Antonio. You sit down, server comes and serves you complimentary handmade warm pita with olive oil while they take your order. You get the feeling that you’re “being taken care of”. No clap back comments or snark. Please be self aware. Your comments and sarcasm won you THIS review. Let's be more...

Edited to add: I personally do not believe that anything was done to make this right as my review was posted for almost 2 hours before there was a response, and none of us actually spoke to a manager, as there was not even one there. How can a manager reach out to the couple and make something right if there isn’t one at the restaurant? From reviews, it also appears this has happened more than once. If there really was a change, this shouldn’t have even happened a second time.

Went here to eat with a few friends. Food was great however their customer service wasn’t. We watched as an elderly couple was denied being allowed to eat inside because they had a service dog with them. After talking with the lady, they even had the papers for the service dog and everything so it was very obvious that this dog was on duty. They were told they had to sit outside (it was also pouring rain at this point and the rain was blowing inside their covered patio) and were even asked if “the dog would pee on the floor”. My friends and I went back inside to speak to a manager. There was no manager on duty and one of the employees got into it with us and spoke to us very disrespectfully. Keep in mind not allowing a service dog in the building is actually against the law. And if that isn’t bad enough, the man was a veteran. They did not care one bit. Absolutely will not be returning if this is how they treat people including their...

Came here 3 times. Each time I came to the restaurant, it was almost empty. 1-4 customers overall. Behind the counter was about 7-8 people.

It still took about 15-30 min for my food to be ready. I understand it take time to make food but given the staffing for this place, you would think they have multiple people work on different tasks. One person was making my food and one item at a time. He'd start one sandwich then do the next one, then next item and so on. Like from start it finish, then work on a different item. By the time he was done, the first sandwich had gotten cold. Why do you have so much staff if your only going to have one person work on the food. Also, apparently they don't do multitasking since they do one thing at a time. I saw these guys make a burger and after it was done and packed, then drop the fries in the oil to cook. Ive been to places where they have less people and are far more efficient.

The food overall is okay. Not good but not terrible either. Not worth the price. Staff is not friendly either. They don't need to be nice to me or smile. I just don't like it where I just ordered the regular food on the menu and its treated as a inconvenience for the crew.

Came 3 times to this place. I figured I caught them on a bad day or something. Nope, nothing changed...no wonder its empty...
