I came here starving like a horse. I was nearly 5pm and I hadn’t eaten all day. The first setback was that they have a sign by the register that says “exit” indicating that you pay there. Then there’s another sign that says “start” which brings you to the other end of where they prep the food. (kind of like Subway) As soon as I follow their instructions and get in line where it says “start” the little skinny boy behind the register tells me that the line starts at the register where it says “exit” when I ask why the confusion with the signs and he indicated that that’s the way they do it. Then I ordered my food. I was the only person at the restaurant while the line employees are standing there watching paint dry— the little skinny boy behind the register tells me after I pay that I have to wait 15 minutes for my food. I ordered a gyro wrap. And he tells me that “this isn’t fast food”. Then the manager pantomimed cutting lettuce with a sarcastic grin. Well in fact ... IT IS FAST FOOD. As long as there a fountain drink station for my refills and I have to order my food at a counter— it sure ain’t Commander’s Palace. Once I got my plate. I got pre-made pita bread(not handmade like most authentic middle eastern restaurants, the salad was drenched in olive oil and my fountain drink in a styrofoam cup with no logo. So guess what Amir? This IS fast food. My favorite go-to middle eastern restaurant is called Pasha’s in San Antonio. You sit down, server comes and serves you complimentary handmade warm pita with olive oil while they take your order. You get the feeling that you’re “being taken care of”. No clap back comments or snark. Please be self aware. Your comments and sarcasm won you THIS review. Let's be more...
Read moreEdited to add: I personally do not believe that anything was done to make this right as my review was posted for almost 2 hours before there was a response, and none of us actually spoke to a manager, as there was not even one there. How can a manager reach out to the couple and make something right if there isn’t one at the restaurant? From reviews, it also appears this has happened more than once. If there really was a change, this shouldn’t have even happened a second time.
Went here to eat with a few friends. Food was great however their customer service wasn’t. We watched as an elderly couple was denied being allowed to eat inside because they had a service dog with them. After talking with the lady, they even had the papers for the service dog and everything so it was very obvious that this dog was on duty. They were told they had to sit outside (it was also pouring rain at this point and the rain was blowing inside their covered patio) and were even asked if “the dog would pee on the floor”. My friends and I went back inside to speak to a manager. There was no manager on duty and one of the employees got into it with us and spoke to us very disrespectfully. Keep in mind not allowing a service dog in the building is actually against the law. And if that isn’t bad enough, the man was a veteran. They did not care one bit. Absolutely will not be returning if this is how they treat people including their...
Read moreCame here 3 times. Each time I came to the restaurant, it was almost empty. 1-4 customers overall. Behind the counter was about 7-8 people.
It still took about 15-30 min for my food to be ready. I understand it take time to make food but given the staffing for this place, you would think they have multiple people work on different tasks. One person was making my food and one item at a time. He'd start one sandwich then do the next one, then next item and so on. Like from start it finish, then work on a different item. By the time he was done, the first sandwich had gotten cold. Why do you have so much staff if your only going to have one person work on the food. Also, apparently they don't do multitasking since they do one thing at a time. I saw these guys make a burger and after it was done and packed, then drop the fries in the oil to cook. Ive been to places where they have less people and are far more efficient.
The food overall is okay. Not good but not terrible either. Not worth the price. Staff is not friendly either. They don't need to be nice to me or smile. I just don't like it where I just ordered the regular food on the menu and its treated as a inconvenience for the crew.
Came 3 times to this place. I figured I caught them on a bad day or something. Nope, nothing changed...no wonder its empty...
