IHOP — Restaurant in Texas

BEWARE!! DONT GO HERE! This is a IHOP in Richmond, TX next to 99 and the West Park Tollway on Bellaire. At 11:45am on 7/28, I ordered the big breakfast burrito that comes with a side of pancakes. I requested to switch my buttermilk pancakes for cookie butter pancakes special pancakes for the July month. This freaking IHOP waiter got my entire order wrong and gave me an omelette. I had to complain to her that she gave me the wrong order. Finally they gave the big breakfast burrito with the 2 cookie butter pancakes. The waiter never checked on me at my table to see if I was still doing okay or if I was okay with my food. btw the spoon,fork, and knife that the waiter gave me were dirty....The waiter finally came to my table a long time after I had finished the food and was ready to give me the check. Then when she gave me the check , the waiter charged me almost $19 for a big breakfast burrito, with no hash browns and 2 pancakes . When I questioned the waiter, I told her why it was this insane price?! It turns out the 2 free buttermilk pancakes that I switched out for the 2 cookie butter pancakes and I was being charged an extra $2.75 for these 2 cookie butter pancakes that are supposed to be free. The waiter never told me I was going to get charged extra for extra pancakes (I didn't get) if I switched my 2 buttermilk pancakes for 2 cookie butter pancakes. The waiter proceeded to call to her manager and the manager did nothing to solve the problem. I told the manager she needs to tell her waiters and staff that if they are going to charge customers extra for stuff like this , they need to tell the customer so the customer isn't surprised or upset like I was. The manager didn't care. She told me she would take the $2.75 off my total they're charging me and instead she lied and only took $1 off my final total price. That was BS!!! 😡 I ended up paying $18 for this crappy meal. The manager here sucks and the entire staff sucks at this IHOP. Terrible service here and IM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS IHOP AGAIN!!!!!! Worst, most disgusting dining experience I have had in many years.

I do not normally post dining reviews unless I am really impressed with an establishment, but this restaurant is so bad that I had to review it so people know to avoid this place at all cost as it is literally not worth your money.

I ate here with my family, and all of the food was very over-cooked. The chicken and the vegetables were all very dry and burnt, and worse, the beef was soggy and grey with a grainy texture in very watery gravy, while the corn had hard foreign objects in it that cracked when bitten into, and the potatoes were really stiff and dry as were the eggs. The only edible menu item that came out were the pancakes.

The service was very slow, and everybody's meals came out individually, and at different times with one persons order being completely forgotten about and initially not prepared at all by the time everyone else's orders came out and drinks were never refilled. There were virtually no cleaning/bussing staff and most of the tables were left empty with dirty dishes laying on them from the time we entered, to the time we left. There was no visible management anywhere in the front of house overseeing anything, and the response we got towards the criticism of some of the meals was only met with a blank stare, and an "oh".

Last, but not least there were seating parties with exceptionally hyperactive and angry children that were left screaming and jumping on neighboring booths, causing the dividers to shake and knocking other customers drinks all over the place, again no visible management trying to gain any control over the front of house at all. If I could give this restaurant a 0/5 I would.

Definitely avoid this IHOP at all cost, it's...

I'm not sure who's managing this particular IHOP, but they are not doing a very good job.

We came here over the weekend because my kids were begging to try the new Jolly Pancakes... Kids. I was reluctant because I've been to this location before and have never been impressed with the service here, but the food is consistent, so we came here.

First, it took a while before anyone took our order. Then, when we were noticed, some teenager kids came and asked is if we had been helped, we said "no", and that "we had been waiting a while". He then went on to tell us, apathetically, that "it was going to be a while before anyone could help us", he also said that he was way to busy because he had already had 5-6 other tables he had been waiting on. He then walked away.

My wife and I looked at each other with the same expression on our face as if to say "why did he even bother telling is that at all?".

To make the story short, when we finally did order, our food take a out 35-40mins before we finally got it. Which for IHOP, that was a long time! The restaurant wasn't even half way full for the food to take that long. And as for the waiter who told us that he was too busy, he wasn't busy enough to frequently stop and talk to a group of girls at the table down the isle. BTW, a ceramic dish broke in next to a table and no one picked it up the entire time we were there, causing a safety violation that no one cared enough to resolve.

This is the last time we come to this IHOP location. Corporate need to get involved and save this place. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the food is always consistent. The service,...
