I took my daughter here for a dinner, and it was a really nice experience. There was pleasant piano music playing. It was loud enough that each table had complete privacy, but quiet enough to easily hear each other. There were already small plates, forks, chopsticks and big, beautiful wooden spoon with bowl rests waiting on the table. Little touches like that go so far towards making the meal a good experience.
I got the takoyaki and veggie miso ramen. She had the chicken shoyu with lemon chicken starter. The lemon chicken was served in a little fry basket with a streak of Sriracha mayo atop a slate tile. It was delicious, crunchy and lemony and perfectly cooked, and her favorite part of the meal. The takoyaki was likewise served on slate, four perfect tasty treats topped with a generous and pleasantly wilting pile of bonito shavings. They were just crispy on the outside, with the rich and meaty octopus filling inside.
I was delighted with my veggie ramen. The miso was almost buttery. Everything was perfectly cooked. The tofu really impressed me. It was lightly charred, still soft enough to pinch apart easily with the chopsticks, and so flavorful. I'm not sure what they did to it that made it so appealing, but there was none of the bland wateriness that tofu is known for. I will absolutely return for that ramen.
My daughter was not so pleased with the chicken. While it was almost as tender as my tofu (something that fascinated her), she said it tasted dry and bland, and maybe overcooked. She loved the broth, the noodles, everything else, but not the chicken.
The service was wonderful. The young man that took care of us was helpful without being intrusive. He even managed to time it so he never approached us while we were mid-bite.
So, all in all, it was a good experience. I'd consider it suitable for a casual first date, a meal with friends, or a quiet bite alone. It might not be so suitable for families with small children. For them, I would recommend taking advantage of their wonderful take-out
I do recommend this place. Even with that one small disappointment of the dry chicken, it gets a solid five stars from me for value, service, quality, and all those little touches that make a meal so much more pleasant. Fat...

So I'm going to start this off by saying I'm not a big Ramen guy to begin with. I understand the complexities of what makes ramen good. However, for some reason my taste buds just can't love it yet. I'm working on it though, and with every new Ramen spot I journey to, slowly breaks my walls down inch by inch. SRF (Slurp Ramen Factory) however, may have knocked those walls down a bit more than any other place I've been in Houston. I got the Tonkatsu Spicy Miso Ramen, Lemon Salt Karaage and their Wings. They had a great package deal where you can one Ramen and one Starter for like 13 bucks. Definitely attractive for my wallet especially since it was me and my wonderfully amazing GF that I love with all my heart. We both loved the Ramen, noodles were al dente, broth was deep, flavorful and a bit smoky (something I had not yet experienced in ramen broths). The mushrooms had a good chew, green onions were fresh and corn was well corn (in a good way). Overall a great Ramen experience, one of the few places I would actually go back to. The only thing that didn't really grab me, was the brisket or the cha siu. I honestly couldnt tell, the meat/fat ratio was telling me cha siu but the smokiness was telling me brisket. It was a bit too fatty/rich for my preference and rich so I gave the extra pieces to my GF.
Lemon Salt Karaage was a bit over "salted"? Too much of the Lemon coming through, I couldn't really taste the chicken. But GF liked it so, kam say kam sa.
Lastly, the wings. Bomb AF. Cooked to perfection, sauce was on point. Don't change a thing about them.
Overall you should give SRF a try if you're in the...
Read moreI recently visited Slurp Factory for lunch with a few friends. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The modern yet cozy decor, paired with upbeat music, set the perfect mood for a casual but delightful dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the Spicy Chicken Ramen absolutely phenomenal! The broth was the perfect blend of heat and depth, with just the right kick that balanced spiciness with savory richness. Every spoonful was packed with flavor. The noodles had that perfect bite, tender yet springy, and soaked up the spicy broth like a dream.
The toppings were generous and fresh. Each ingredient added another layer of texture and taste. What really stood out was how well-balanced the dish was—every element worked together harmoniously.
The staff at Slurp Factory were also a highlight of the experience. They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making me feel right at home. They even checked in to ensure the spice level was to my liking, which I appreciated.
Overall, a memorable dining experience. If you’re a fan of bold, spicy flavors and crave a perfect bowl of ramen, this place is...
