11 Aug 2018 To start, Double Dave's is my favorite pizza place. I've ordered many times and never before been disappointed. So I'm taking off 3 stars off what would be a five star review because of the last experience.

Here's what happened. I placed an order for 3 large pizzas for a party I was having. The pizza arrived shortly after the guests did which was good timing. When we opened the boxes, we found that all the pizzas were smushed into a corner as if they had been turned on their sides in the box.

This left half of every pizza basically destroyed. Not inedible, but just a mess. Since the pizzas were hot, all the toppings came off and mushed together. Also, they didn't deliver the 3 ranch sauces that I ordered.

When I called the store and explained what happened, the manager said he would send new pizza's, but that it would take an HOUR AND A HALF. And that I would have to exchange the ruined pizza for the new pizza as "proof". Obviously we were all hungry and didnt want to wait so long. Had he simply offered to comp the total (which was about $70) I would have been fine. He did say that he would add a credit to my account, but I have no idea for how much.

The whole experience was just, disappointing. I will still order from Double Dave's in the future, as all my previous orders...

They consistently fill orders incorrectly requiring remaking pizza, but last time left such an impression we will not be going back. I ordered 2 pizzas, one was made incorrectly, as usual, I asked them to remake it and got an eye roll, and no verbal response, the woman behind the counter just pulled it back. They then proceeded to fill 5 other customers orders before remaking the pizza, a 40 minute process, then made the pizza wrong again. By this time my other pizza was cold. How hard is it to put jalapenos on a pizza? The new pizza was shoved at me without a word, and unsurprisingly they didn't want to show the it to me. After this I pointed the mistake out again and got a bigger eye roll and she took the pizzas from in front of me and walked off without a word. When she returned I asked for a refund as I didn't have 40 more minutes to waste. I received a sarcastic "sorry" she and told me the refund will come through in a day or two. Went to Double Dave's last night with a relatively large group and spent a significant sum on food (we ordered enough to probably have leftovers for several days) and soda, but several of the members of our group have concerns about soda, so we were asking about water in addition to what we had already bought and they refused us and told us we needed to buy bottled water. This seemed strange to me, I had never run into a place that did this before, but I wasn't going to do more about it until I found out from a place we went to for breakfast this morning (without prompting) that it's illegal to not offer free water in Texas. Finding this out aggravated me significantly, before I had thought of the place as just being a bit scummy forcing people to buy bottled water, but now that I know it's illegal I'm particularly unhappy. Additionally, the food was mediocre and not up to Double Dave's typical standards. I would find one of the other places in town and avoid this one. You can even find other Double...
