I wanted to bring attention to the service that I received last night at the Kingwood location. I placed an order for two kids meals, a 5 and 5 meal and buffalo Tender Mac. By the time my family and I arrived home and unpacked the food, I realized that I was missing one of the kids meals. I called the restaurant at 7:46pm to advise them of their error and to let them know that I was coming back to get the kids meal. When I arrived, there were a couple of cars in the drive thru. I pulled up to the speaker and advised them of who I was and asked if I had to wait in line again or if I could pull up and someone could bring the food out to me. The drive thru cashier was quite rude in the tone of her response advising me to either wait in line or come inside and get the food. I was already frustrated bc one of my kids was at home missing their meal due to the mistake of Slim Chickens employee and I had on my bedroom slippers versus the sneakers I had on earlier. I walked inside to get the food. The guy at the registered got the box and proceeded to hand me the box without a bag. I asked for a bag. He then placed the box in the bag and sat the bag on the counter not in my hand which I was holding out. There was no empathy or remorse for their error. It felt like they were annoyed that I came back for my order which further frustrated me. Not one single apology. That's standard customer service and this experience was the absolute worst. By the time I got back home, my food was cold and my daughter was annoyed for having to wait on her food. I normally don't write reviews on places I go even if rhe the services is mediocre or poor. But the experience we had a Slim Chickens was subpar to say the least. Regarding food, it is acceptable. Nothing extraordinary or remarkable. All food asked was okay. Which surprises me that it took 30 minutes for my kids to get their Mac and cheese kids meal. You could say that it was the lack of food and they needed to cook it but people that came after us had their food on time. When we complained about this, we noticed that one of the cooks did not have a net on his hair. When we went to grab put drinks, the ice had some "strange items" that was nit ice. We did not mention this because when we mentioned the lack of sweet tea, the unsweetened tea was old and bitter, and the missing of lemonade they only said that they needed to make some more lemonade. After an hour sitting, the lemonade was still not made. Finally atmosphere, the bathrooms were unclean, the hot water is scolding (which makes me think that employees are not washing there hands with that water), and the floors were sticky. I just ordered on Uber eats and they left out a large part of the order (dessert jars). So I had to reorder for just the jars, and the delivery driver has been waiting at the restaurant for over 30 minutes for a simple order of just 2 dessert jars. The delivery driver texted me and said they didn't have any prepared so that's why it's taking so long - which explains why I didn't receive them with my original order. Shame on you Slim Chickens. Also, the food I received with my original order was stale, I could tell it was not freshly prepared. Fries were cold and limp, fried pickles were limp and extremely oily, so much that it has leaked onto everything in the bag. I would have hoped for better because let me tell you this wasn't cheap, my order was well over $50, and the food was disgusting and they completely left out the dessert jars because they were too lazy to make them. Looking at other recent reviews I can see I'm not the only one to have this kind of experience. I will never order from this...
