We went for breakfast this morning, walking in there was a line just to get our name on the list to wait to be seated. 3 other parties of 2/3 were sitting and waiting already, not sure how long they had been there before us. There was no one up front for at least 5-7 minutes and then a young girl came up clearly overwhelmed and clueless and started taking names and telling us it would be a 10-15 minute wait. She left the front multiples times as more people came in to wait to have their name taken to wait to be seated. More people came as we waited and during that time (about 20/25 minutes), not one single person was seated, even the ones who had been waiting before we got there. The girl up front is nowhere to be found and another lady comes up to the front and looks at the list of names waiting, which by this time is probably around 10 or more. Several people had come in and left because they could see a lot of people waiting, and asked how long we had been waiting, and when we told them, they turned around and walked out. My husband goes up to this lady and ask why no one has been seated when we can clearly see that there are at least 10 tables open just from where we are sitting and here snarky response was “the kitchen is short staffed, that’s why”. He about lost it, when she snapped back. He asked where the manager was and gets told the Manager is in the kitchen. None of this is a reason people can’t be seated. She then tells him to just “have a nice day” repeatedly very snarky and rude in front of all the other people waiting and coming in, so we start to tell everyone, to just go find somewhere else to eat since it had been almost 30 minutes at this point since we arrived and 3/4 of the restaurant is empty with open tables. If we had been sat and told that they were short staffed in the kitchen, we’d have been totally fine, but there was NO communication at all from the moment we walked into the moment we left. This place used to be great, but has declined so much on the last 5 years. I wouldn’t recommend going here ever unless there is a major overhaul of the staff/management and the...
Read moreWe came to eat here at my son's request. It was his birthday and he was looking forward to the birthday ice cream he's enjoyed in the past. We were seated rather quickly and our drink order was taken right away. After some, not all, (missing one water) of our drinks arrived, we placed our food order and everything was going fairly well up to this point. We tried to flag down the waiter about the missing drink and he walked away before we could finish talking. About 30 minutes after we ordered our food, some of it arrived at the table. We still had to wait to eat because we were seated without utensils. After we asked for them, the waiter wanted to know if we wanted "regular or plastic" utensils. He came back a few minutes later with our utensils and my food but the water and now a stack of pancakes were missing from our table. We asked again for the missing items and again our waiter would acknowledge and walk away before we could finish speaking. Refills on drinks were lacking and we had to ask whenever we finally spotted our waiter. After our meal was finished, he brought the check and was sad to inform us that someone let the ice cream melt. My son was disappointed as he had been looking forward to his birthday ice cream for several days. The quality of the food is on par with just about any other IHOP. It was the slow service and lack of attentiveness that made this dining experience unforgettable, and not...
Read moreI begged my husband to give ihop another chance since he never wants to go because he says it’s always trash but our kids like pancakes so this was the spot after church. The wait was only a few mins and they were surprisingly not busy so that was a plus. Our server was pleasant. As vegans we’re limited on what we can order so I love that they have meatless sausage now. I don’t know if it’s how the server rang up our order or the cooks’ strange plating choice but they put our double hash browns and veggies on 2 separate plates so that’s 8 plates (counting the pancakes and sausage) for 2 people causing the table to be crowded so we had to ask for a bigger plate to merge everything. I always order this same meal at another restaurants and they take the liberty to make it look like a meal all on 1 plate. Anyway, it all looked good but the potatoes and veggies were cold and sausages weren’t hot either. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant so my husband was extremely upset because he said the server was talking to someone as the food sat in the window. He refused to eat any of it and I was starving so I ate it anyway. The server wasn’t very apologetic but she did have the manager take his food off the bill but he had to go home hungry instead of them offering to remake it. It’s just sad because I’ve always loved IHOP but its giving...
