Edit: We, my family and I, have experienced very poor customer service during COVID. If they are that concerned with COVID matters/parameters why then do they have all of the following: napkin containers, salt & pepper shakers, and sugar packets at every table? We have observed on more than one occasion that these items are not cleaned/sanitized after customers leave. Tables are not 6 feet apart. There is a self serve beverage station (coffee, tea, soda) that is not sanitized after customer use. IF COVID matters so much to their establishment, WHY are these things happening?
I was actively drinking from my personal water bottle at a table (and my husband went to the cashier) one of Jocy's employees refused to let my husband order (who has a mask on). There was nothing wrong with our situation (especially with the lack of sanitization that happens in their restaurant).
I am so incredibly disappointed in the lack of common civility of Jocy's employee. Who ever is in charge there needs to address this and go over customer service etiquette with their staff. (In fact, go check out Rivera's. They have customer service down and are absolutely wonderful!) The politeness spoken of in my first review has gone out the window. Jocy's will no longer be a place I recommend to people who come to town, visit the area, or an establishment I will encourage locals to frequent.
Old: We've gone back here a few times now as we passed through Princeton and really like the food. My family and I highly recommend it and have not been disappointed with any of their selections! The staff are all really polite and accommodating. Restrooms are clean! (This is such a nice change because so many restaurants will have great food but horrible restrooms.) Food definitely looks homemade (not pre-frozened items) and has been...
Read moreLunch and dinner is ok. Breakfast is lacking pretty bad. Not something I would reccomend for price and serving size especially if you order to go. A large breakfast burrito for 7.99 comes with chunks of potatoes. The burrito was small for a large so expect to need to eat 2 of them. You only get like 10 chunks of potatoes and I'd say it was 50/50 on under or over cooked potatoes that have zero flavor. This restaurant has more of a setting for older generations. All in all it's ok and everyone's experience is different. But for price and serving size you are much better off visiting IHOP or Denny's. My wife and I spent $25 on our breakfast and spend the same at other restaurants. So if you want a small light meal at the same price of getting a larger meal this place is for you. On top of everything else service was awful. Immediately from walking in and ordering we felt judged. We are in our 30's and have tattoos. I feel sorry for this place having a staff with this kind of mentality. From start to end it was an awful experience for us and...
Read moreI had posted a 5 star review a few months ago raving on Jocy’s however that has definitely changed…it seems that ever since Gustavo (guy who ran front counter for a long time) left, their customer service has gone straight down hill!!!
A girlfriend of mine suggested we go to Jocy’s for breakfast this morning. We ordered build your own omelets and they couldn’t have screwed up our order more if they tried to. She has no meat and ordered meat, I didn’t order ham but got ham…on and on and on. I decided they needed to make it right so I talked to the young girl running the front. We could literally hear her telling the kitchen staff how angry we were and they stood there reviewing the ticket trying to say it was right. We finally decided to just ask for money back and change our plans. The manager stated the food was remade but that he’d give a refund anyway. It was a total cluster** as to how this was handled and they’ve lost a loyal regular...
