EDIT because I can't figure out how to delete this... I messaged them our experience on Instagram and she has reached out and handled it appropriately! It's always good to have a business own up to their mistakes and have good customer service, and she has shown it now! Maybe we will be back to try a cupcake again.
We went to order a dozen macarons for our baby's first birthday that was in a few weeks. I showed the girl a picture of the colors that I wanted and she asked me to send it to their instagram page. I did, along with a reiteration of the date and time that we would be picking them up. We paid for them there and signed off on the order and that was that.
The time came for pick up (actually an hour after the time that we had told them, to give more than enough time) and my husband went to pick them up and they acted like they didn't know about the order. They finally found the proof of the order and went in the back and there were some shells but they weren't filled. They asked him if different colors were okay and he said if they gave him different colors than what we ordered, he wanted a discount. They filled them and boxed them up. He checked the box and there were only 7 in the box. He went back in and told them and they gave him the rest. He told them several times that he was fine with whatever, just as long as he got a discount since it was what we had ordered. Guess they didn't want to do that.
This ordeal made him late to getting to the location of the party to help set up so we were then rushing around because of this huge delay. The macarons were obviously rushed because they were cracked and the filling was uneven. It was very disappointing because I wanted to support a local business but we will not be back after this experience. If they had made it right in some way, I wouldn't be here writing this review and we would be fine with going back to support by buying a cupcake every now and then. But that...
Read moreWe have been big fans of this bakery and introduced many people to them. For my sister’s birthday, I ordered 24 cupcakes and 2 cakes. I ordered a red velvet cake with a rainbow theme and a lemon cake with a tropical theme. The design on the cakes were very cute. However, the cakes were so dense and dry that none of my guests enjoyed them. The red velvet was so dry and dense we each had a few bites and put it down. The lemon cake was slightly better but still extremely dense. This was extremely disappointing since we had such high hopes for them. We even followed the instructions to leave the cakes at room temperature for a little. As for the cupcakes, they did not at all create the designs that I had hopes for. I ordered 12 cupcakes to be tropical themed and 12 rainbow themed. The rainbow themed cupcakes looked like cupcakes that I bought from Kroger’s. This is very disappointing for a reputable bakery where I paid over 300 for my order. They were actually so disappointing that I had to PAY to put macaroons on them so that they can look better. Even the sprinkles used were not quality that I would expect from a luliet order. The tropical themed cupcakes had tacky neon plastic palm trees. I had to take them off and buy decor from hobby lobby to make them look better. The macaroons that I paid for to make my cupcakes look better we’re thankfully quite enjoyable. As for the taste of the cupcakes, we enjoyed the coconut, lemon cheesecake, Pina colada cupcakes. They were moist and had good flavor. They completely missed the mark on the other flavors; lemon, red velvet, churro, wedding cake, macaron, strawberry. These were dense and dry. The cupcakes are great, but I've tried to place special orders for 5 different special occasions, and not once has this place done a good job. Their customer service is just horrific. If the items weren't so good, I'd never step foot in this place, due to the service.
Updated 3/30/2025 I was stupid and thought a cupcakes order of items they were currently making, couldn't go wrong.. I was wrong. True to form, messed up a special order.. The fruit this time was bad the very next day, which made me wonder when they made the cupcakes.. Here is the kicker tho. They actually THIS time, goto replace the cupcakes, not something that's been done before, on the messups... WE have eaten it on bad 50+ orders.. etc.. So when I get there, I believe it's the owner, tells me, we won't be doing this anymore, because of ALLLLLL the free cupcakes they give me.. This really threw me back, as if I treated them like I generally do everyone else, THEY would have paid for their screwup, even if it meant going to court.. I never have tho. So ALLLLL these cup cakes and I'm thinking back... is she talking about when her employee, literally put the wrong cupcakes that I ordered in the bag, and I wanted the one I actually ordered replaced, not one I wont eat? Ahhh maybe... or for their bday offers, I dont eat ice cream and their employees once again, tried to be nice and let me switch for a cupcakes? Who knows..
