Mo's Irish Pub Cypress — Restaurant in Texas

We had very terrible service which isn't even the reason I'm leaving this review, it was the illegal activity being conducted by the staff. Learned a lesson in taking pictures of our receipts. In short we ordered 1 drink, an appetizer, and our food at the same time. All of it took an hour to come out. We had to ask for the drink 4 times. As a former waitress I never do this, but I tipped 10%. The waitress, Alexa, took it upon herself to double the tip. When I noticed I called in and got a defensive manager Sarah, who did refund me just the tip, however continued to excuse the waitresses fraudulent behavior, even after she showed me the receipt that had been doctored. After this point my sister who had a separate tab at the same table reached out and said the same thing happened to her. It's pretty abvious to us Alexa purposefully changed the tip to take money from us, however Sarah refused to show us her receipt or refund her the money taken from her. We were given the number of an extremely unprofessional district manager who was still denying any wrongdoing even after presented with all the proof. He told me that I could file a police report but nothing would happen and then proceeded to call me names when I told him he was facilitating fraud. Again check your receipts at this location, they didnt seem to want to let Alexa go so she is still probably there stealing money...

My food was delightful. The soft pretzel one of the best ive ever had. The tomato soup was literally to die for and the 3 cheese grilled cheese was amazing. There were however some minor issues with my visit. The host sat us with out menus to even begin looking at. The waitress took far to long to take drink orders and then we literally had to flag her down to ask for menus. As if she thought we'd come in just for a cold coke.. After that she just seemed real confused to why we were there. We again had to flag her down to ask her take our order (after waiting quiet a bit for service after being seated i might add) her response was literally "drinks?" When i feel its obvious we'd come to get dinner not to drink. So i wasnt real impressed with our service. However once she FINALLY took and brought our orders in it was out in a timely manner delivered by the manager who was very friendly and seemed to be concerned rather we were satisfied with everything or not. So all in all if given the chance i would totally eat and recommend Mos for good bar food. I wont hold the entire restaurant accountable for 1 server's less than adequate performance. I do want to state she was very friendly she just seemed maybe distracted or confused. So regardless of that, if you want a quick bite with a bar atmosphere, good food and really baller cheese sauce and pretzels i would still totally...

Update 3/22/24: I made a mistake. Said I was never going back, but had a craving. Surely it's gotten better in a year? Nope - different year, same story. Handed dirty menus when we sat down, and staff were seldom to be seen. This is a bar masquerading as a "restaurant". Only way to get decent service here is to continuously run yourself up to the bar to get the latest status, and even that is an exercise in futility. No one on the staff knows what order goes where based off the countless dishes brought to incorrect customers. 2 drinks and an appetizer turned into a 2 hour stay with maybe 3 stops at the table from the server with one being the check.

Original 2023: Over the last year, we've tried giving Mo's a chance at least 5 or 6 times. We want to like the place, but Mo's continually disappoints. On most of our visits, we've been sat down at a table and then received no service from any of the waitstaff even after asking multiple people. Food has been very hit or miss, and coupled with the slow or lack of service, typically comes out cold. Tables, seats, and menus rarely are wiped down completely leaving the entire place filling dirty. Overall it seems that no one there seems to care which to me indicates the problem starts at the top.
