Ritter's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Texas

I just left Ritter's and I am in shock! I noticed on the back of my HEB receipt that I had some coupons for Ritter's ice cream. The deal was to spend $7.00 and you were eligible to get a quart of hard frozen ice cream for free. I thought that sounded like fun, so I went to Ritter's, purchased a quart of ice cream and got a hard frozen quart for free. The ice cream was wonderful! A few weeks later, I went back for the same offer. This time, there were so many delicious flavors available that I couldn't decide what I wanted. The clerk told me I could buy up to 3 quarts and get 3 quarts for free. Problem solved! I bought 2 quarts and got 2 free. I went back today, but I noticed that the coupon said only one free quart per visit, so I asked if I could come back in 5 minutes because they had more flavors that I wanted to buy. I must be stupid or something because I thought this offer must be a marketing strategy to clear hard frozen quarts, so they wouldn't lose money on them. When I asked, the manger owner came to the window and gave me a lecture about how she was trying to support her family with this business and she didn't need people like me trying to take advantage of her. Of course, I told her I didn't want to take advantage of her--it was just fun to buy a variety of ice creams. She got upset and even broke out in hives as she repeated that it was only one free quart per visit. I told her I had been offered 3/coupon and she said that was a special she ran last February. I told her that this was only 3 weeks ago. I am just in shock that she was so rude. She will be supporting her family without my business because I will never go back. I purchased a pint of Fresh Banana ice cream and there was ice cream smeared on the outside of the container. I had no idea bc it was in a bag when they handed it to me. When I got home, I placed it in my freezer (still in the bag) until I was ready to consume. When I was ready to eat it, I became very annoyed bc there was ice cream on the outside of the container. It looked like something that had been packaged in someone's kitchen at home. How sloppy and unprofessional!!! When I asked to trade it in for another one, the manager was very rude and said that it could have been from my refrigerator. Well, how many ppl have Fresh Banana dripping from their freezer or refrigerator, I don't know any. What was on the outside of the container was consistent with what was on the inside. This lady is so incompetent. Why lose a customer who has been loyal and has purchased hundreds of dollars in ice cream over a $5 pint of Fresh Banana. It doesn't make good business sense. On top of that, she never gave me the pint of ice cream that I was trying to switch out back. She walked away with it, so I guess I'll just dispute it off my Am Express card. Update: moved out of Katy area in 2021 so dont go here much anymore. I was back in the area to meet up with friends to catch up on life so off the Ritter's we went. It happened to be "classic car club and motorcycle club night" Saw some beautiful classic cars and met some very polite and considerate men and women that like their bikes/cars. A smile goes a long way when the presentation is intimidating. Ritter's once again brings diverse groups together over frozen yogurt! The 2 food trucks added a nice variety option to the hot dogs served by Ritter's. Anytime I'm in the area, this is my go to meet up place!

1st visit of the year! I met with workmates for a late birthday celebration. The service was amazing, the flavors were yummy and we had fun chatting at a table. Notes: You will need a wider straw if you get a banana strawberry smoothie shake cuz the banana chunks will block the straw! Turtle Sundae...yummmmm! Brownie Sundae...watch out for the crumbs on...
