Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Texas

Never ate there before. So my girlfriend and I decided to order from there. We looked online at the menu then called our order in. The lady who picked up seemed as if she had a little attitude but I figured whatever... so as I gave her my order I asked a couple questions because this was my first time ordering from Zaxby's, and I can hear the frustration in her voice.

Well, after everything was done she asked if that was it I said yes ma'am and she hung the phone up as I was about to ask her how long, the total cost and if she needed a name. So I called back, and no one answered. I decided to wait 15 min and head over there. Finally reached told the cashier my order and she went to get it repeated my order except the fries. So she then tells the cook we needed fries and another coworker daid this order has been sitting here for 2 hrs!

I said there's no way because I just called about 30 min ago. So the cashier apologized and said they are making my order fresh. While talking to the cashier I told her the about the phone incident. Come to find out it was the manager who I spoke to on the phone. I said to be a manager she has no managerial skills at all and I even mentioned how I tried calling back and no one picked up.

So, finally the manager called number 3 (my number was 93) I figured it was me due to other patrons sitting with empty trays on their tables and I was the only one standing there, come to find out it wasnt my order and once again it was the same order as mine. So I asked if your calling the very last number of the 2 digit. She got another attitude and gave the order to the cashier to give to one guy sitting at a booth.

Everyone was so very helpful, the cashier kept apologizing to me and offered me a free drink or cookies (I declined). But, the manager that was on duty was horrible and needs to do some extra customer training! Will never eat there again. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of the...

Quick review: Thoroughly average food that's overpriced even for it being quick service. It tastes ok but it is not a good value for what you are charged.

Long Review- I ordered their chicken sandwich meal with a Dr. Pepper and an order of their white cheddar cheese bites. Came out to just under 14.00 total. The chicken sandwich by itself sells for 7.00 without the meal. So first let me say the positives. The potato bread bum was delicious. Zaxby pickle selection is good too thick crispy kosher slices. Unfortunately the bun was the highlight. I got a chicken sandwich the same size as a Chic FIL A sandwich but 2.00 more. It was given an extremely generous portion of a reddish zaxby sauce that tasted like ketchup and mayo mixed together and any taste removed from it. It wasn't sweet, tangy, spicy, nothing. It just made the sandwich soggy and covered up the chicken and pickles flavor badly. The sauce is not appetizing at all. The accompanying fried were thick cut crinkle fries that weren't crispy but a sad soggy kind of cooked. Under salted and limp they didn't make a great impression and I didn't finish them due to it. Lastly the cheddar bites. Overall they were ok. Not amazing or special but ok. The batter on them is thick and more like breading then anything. It was supposed to come with ranch I think but my order didn't get it. Eating them by themselves was not bad. Also not really memorable.

Staff there looked well trained and while not the friendliest they were professional and not rude.

The restaurant when I was there was clean and maintained so good point there.

Final thoughts - for the quality and quantity of food they serve you they are overpriced and have no real unique flavor or item that makes them standout. Three stars is for making edibles food accurately but also for being exactly what three stars...

This place doesn't look bad coming in and prices and food look ok on the menu. The staff on the other hand... Well here we go.

I was greeted by a short unsightly dirty looking woman named Glinda who says "hey what you want" in a very nasty manner. Like she just couldn't be bothered that I'm bringing my business there making me and my family feel unwelcome.

We order our food we sit there we wait. Foods done yes! Maybe it will make us forget the managers disgusting attitude. Well I can honestly say that the chicken fingers were old! The fries were old and soggy as well. It tasted like old grease!

So I come to speak to the manager asking her if we can have fresh food instead. She gets so mad and goes full on private eye investigating the food we were bringing back talking about how we had ate already and that we were gonna have to pay and that food isn't free which was just very insulting...

Of course we had taken a bite of our fries and fingers girl were hungry! I promptly returned the food after not even sitting down a minute. Ok so after arguing and arguing and rolling her eyes and being nasty towards me the next attempt at decent fried chicken and french fries is made with a supposedly new order of actually fresh food...

I can't understand how you can go wrong with fried chicken but ZAXBYS does it SO well! If you can't cook chicken fingers or French fries you need to close down and educate your staff or just not be in this competitive business. We got our food in the exact same state we returned it. The same everything minus the bit off food with warmer fries sprinkled across the previous cold ones! Same with the chicken!

God help the little woman named Glenda she is a disgusting mess and needs a shower. The place needs to be shut down! Zaxbys service and food is just disgusting I will...
