I was very weary going back to this restaurant due to a past experience of asking for extra cheese for 3 enchiladas and being charged $1 per enchilada ($3.00) for extra cheese on a plate that they profit quite a bit on up front. I would think as a courtesy of a few sprinkles of cheese, I wouldn’t be paying for a bag of cheese I get at the store.

The visit we had yesterday was even worse. Management of this place is TERRIBLE. We had a table of seven people and we were only given two salsas to share. These were TINY bowls. We had asked for more from our server and she let us know that she is only able to get 2 more because they get in trouble if salsa goes wasted. Keep in mind we have 4 salsa tiny bowls for 7 people. Then, Our poor waitress had someone set up the tray for her to dispense the food and it got knocked over and immediately we heard management telling staff members to count the number of plates that were broken rather than trying to assist the server and speak to (us) the customers to apologize for the trouble. The micromanaging and stinginess of management seems to make it a hostile working environment. I would never ever let my kids work here due to the stress I’m sure these servers feel each day to not mess up.

Management, your staff members are HUMAN and make mistakes. I think with the high prices of your food, a few extra salsas and a complimentary sprinkle of cheese would be beneficial for customer satisfaction. Be more like your Lewisville location in which we are regulars to and you won’t have customers walking away for good, like we...

I love Angelina’s! I had only been here once years ago and I remember it as a decent place with a good happy hour. But when a Saturday dinner with the family had expected wait times at other Mexican restaurants of 45+ minutes, we scrambled for other options. A few calls later we rediscovered Angelina’s in The Colony. Oh what divine fortune! They easily accommodated our table of 8 with no wait, we had prompt service with drinks and kids’ entrees, and we were encouraged by the inexpensive prices. Our server (Maggie) was perfectly attentive and extremely helpful. She made sure the kitchen was aware of my wife’s cilantro allergy and took it upon herself to request our fajita ā€œfixingsā€ without any cilantro. (Cilantro-free guacamole, diced tomatoes and onions instead of pico de gallo, etc.) Everything was delicious as well! Another adult in our party was not fully satisfied with her strawberry daiquiri and the bar was super awesome about obliging our requests to help make it right (maybe more rum? Maybe more coconut? Etc) Maggie also drew our attention to the BEAUTIFUL sunset over Lake Lewisville as our dinner was drawing to a close. All-in-all we have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the DFW area. Great food, great service, great prices. 5 stars is not enough!

P.S. There is a baby-changing station in the handicapped stall of the men’s room (a family-specific detail that will only matter to dad’s who are called upon to change a diaper...

I actually went 2 days in a row, one time with my boyfriend and once with my girlfriends for cinco de mayo the next day. When I went with my boyfriend the food and service was great! It wasn’t really busy. But the drinks were not strong at all. We both got a 20oz margarita and didn’t feel anything and that’s a big margarita. The next day I met up with my girlfriends and all our food was either overcooked and/or didn’t taste good. And again the drinks were very light. Then on top of it our waitress was not helpful at all. She just kept saying how busy they were but then would stand over by the register and was talking to her coworkers or what appeared to be her relatives came over and she’s holding babies and talking to them while we are waiting on things we asked for like another round of drinks, sides of condiments, and napkins. Then she brought us the check and we asked it to be split (it was just the 3 of us). She asked like we had asked for it to be split 12 ways. And then one of my friends asked for a to go box and brought a tiny box so we had to wait for her to come back for a bigger one. She was just so eager to go back to chatting with her coworkers and family that we were really an inconvenience. So 5 star day 1, and 1 star on the second visit. So 3 stars overall. Not sure when/if we...

- Ambiance - 3 stars some of the.light bulbs were off(fused or not lit) in the chandeliers. One of the Air vents on the ceiling did not seem well attached to the ceiling. Loud humming noise on one side of the restaurant where we were sitting Well lighted from outside and good amount of parking. - Food - chips and salsa - 2.5 stars. salsa was good, chips could have been better. - we all ordered enchiladas. Quantity was decent. Taste wise it was okay and I've had way better - 2.5 stars. My enchilada was not hot. It was just warm. - nachos were just okay. Only 2.5 stars there. - for dessert we ordered "Churros". Best Churros ever! Fresh, crunchy on the outside, had a creamy chocolate filling on the inside along with chocolate sauce. Fresh. I would give it 10 out of 5 stars. Reaaly good. - had no drinks menu, but the server verbally told me the drinks menu. - 1 star - Servers were very knowledgeable regarding ingredients and any dietary restrictions we had. So 5 stars there - Service was fast - 5 stars Overall I would give it 3 stars. Would I visit again? May be.

Such a wonderful place! I discovered it by driving by and scouting the area. Decided to go in and now this place is going to be added to my fave list. Friendly service šŸ˜. I got carded at the bar and I am 49 yo:) ha! At my age it’s cute. Try table service guacamole, it’s really good. And try having drinks on the patio while the weather is nice. You will love it. Good place and good folks all around.

🌮 A Flavorful Gem in The Colony – Angelina’s Don Francisco’s From the moment you walk into Angelina’s, you’re greeted with warmth, vibrant energy, and the unmistakable aroma of authentic Tex-Mex. This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of flavor, comfort, and community. The avocado bombs are a must-try: crispy on the outside, creamy and bold on the inside. Their Chile Relleno is a masterclass in balance—rich, savory, and perfectly spiced. And the brisket tacos? Tender, smoky, and layered with flavor that lingers in the best way. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, with lake views that elevate the entire experience. Whether you’re dining inside or out on the patio, it feels like a getaway. And the best part? It’s all incredibly affordable, making it easy to indulge without hesitation. Angelina’s isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory. Highly recommend for anyone craving soulful Tex-Mex with heart.
