I've had to throw away food that wasn't even good enough to eat & the small lady that had worked there for years is very rude on phone & in person. Their food is not consistent, sometimes barely edible. It got so bad that I quit going there altogether especially with them not appreciating you business when I mentioned concerns they were rude & didn't care & we're very disrespectful. The small lady has been there for years, I started going there when they first opened & it was good for awhile & the lady was decent but the longer she was there the worse things got & food started going downhill. Because of the way I was treated & they didn't care about the quality of their food I stopped going altogether & I've had friends & family quit going also. We all just gave up. When food goes straight into the garbage after one bite & seeing how bad it looked we saw no hope...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCheng's Chinese Restaurant in The Villages continues to impress with its delectable dishes and exceptional service. On our recent visit, we enjoyed the Mongolian Beef and the General Tso Shrimp Combo, complete with fried rice and an egg roll.
The Mongolian Beef was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The General Tso Shrimp was perfectly cooked shrimp in a tangy, slightly sweet sauce. The fried rice complemented the dish wonderfully, and the egg roll was crisp and tasty, adding a satisfying crunch to our meal.
Service at Cheng's was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff making us feel welcome and well-cared-for. The restaurantās warm and inviting atmosphere further enhanced our dining experience.
Cheng's is our favorite spot for Chinese cuisine in The Villages. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious food and...

Also the combos here included an egg roll and the other place offered spring rolls. Although egg rolls are far from what they used to be (or the Florida version is just inferior) I like them much better than empty tasteless Spring rolls.
I have to say Chengs is the best Chinese food around here and the closest to what we had back up north. Bourbon and Sesame Chicken were great. Lo Mein noodles were great. Fried rice was good. Fried dumplings were different but very good.
For as close as possible to Boston/New York Chinese food Chengs is your...
