What a wonderful place this is. Miss Whitney greeted us and told us all about the wines and operation. She was truly fantastic, pleasant and is incredibly knowledgeable. What a great person to have standing behind the bar! You owe her a huge raise, pomotion and bonus. I really mean that. It is employees like Miss Whitney that make you or break you. Please take care of her as she most deserves it, and I trust that you will do that. We felt very much at home. How about the wines? The wines are superb and will soon be added to our collection in Warsaw, Poland. I cannot say enough about them. The whites are excellent! We travel the country and world in search of adventure and a great wine when we come across it. These do not disappoint. They will look great back home next to others we have collected from places like New Mexico, Iowa, Texas, and many others. Yes, good wines do not come only from California (actually my least favourite)! Many states make much betters products that put California to shame, Get out there and find a gem like Farmer's Daughter in Thomasville GEORGIA. What a find! Thank you again Whitney for your kindness and the great time at the tasting room. Best Regards- your friends Marek and Justyna from Warsaw, Poland....
Read moreVery nice experience. Though we are used to sitting overlooking a vineyard while sipping new wines this was a very pleasant environment with a very nice person, Jennifer, taking care of us. Did a good job of keeping me Gluten free. Provided us with gluten free crackers on our Charcuterie board. Talked to us about each wine we were tasting. Sorry to say I wasn't crazy about any of the wines, we still bought a bottle of the Heartbreaker had a glass of that to finish the board with and brought the rest of the bottle home with us. It is in small town setting... But so nicely done up inside and out. Urban farm?... Well not at all sure how to describe it. It is lovely and worth stopping by and spending some time relaxing there. We were there on a Sunday in Feb. So there were folks coming and going but not super busy. But a nice pace for them I guess. They also serve a few mixed drinks and non alcoholic drinks. They have a chocolate charcuterie board which I thought about trying but didn't. It is a little pricey there but not real out of line with other places like that. Really it is so charming... You should go if you...
Read moreMost of the wines had very little smell (and the smell of the glass was wet dog). The most complex wine was daredevil, which was okay- at least the flavors were more balanced. The tannins of it kept the berry flavor on the tongue a bit longer, but if you do not like tannins you would not care much for this wine. The whites had, interesting, undertones and flavor, but contrasted with one another, making it difficult to simply drink and enjoy. I feel it would be a difficult place for either seasoned or beginner wine lovers to enjoy (especially when the cleanser is cheesy gold fish crackers). I would say the whites were interesting and "unique," but not something worth experiencing for "a new experience." What tipped the scale was the server. She was not very friendly, kept ignoring us (though it was not busy), and simply poured the wines and left each time. So, I would not recommend this winery to anyone. The one star was that the place is very visually pleasing and comfortable, and the bro's cider was smooth with...
