Mom and I had dinner here 9/15/24 between the hours of 5-6pm. We ordered a large Taco pizza, a 6" spinach/tomato/mushroom and garlic mini pizza, a small Antipasto Salad, one minestrone soup, and 2 root beers. The food was delicious as always, but this dining experience was exceptionally special because our server Ms. Kathy H. was a gem! She was intuitive, watchful, kind, communicative, and nurturing. She served with such warmth. We felt as tho, we pulled up a chair at her kitchen table and was served our meal on her most special china. Sure we were in the Aurelio's dining room, but this is the best way I can explain the effect the service had on our hearts yesterday. She was interested in making small talk and was very engaged and personable. She even shared with us her favorite specialty pizza. The level of attentiveness and joy she served with was exceptional!
I'll give you some examples that speak to the level of heart she served with:
-Once we were served our pizza, Ms. Kathy asked us did we need anything. I requested a specified number of sour cream packets. She added one more extra, just in case.
-When Mom and I were wrapping up our meal. We asked that our pizza be wrapped and that our Antipasto salad be contained as well. Ms. Kathy made sure our croutons and remaining dressing was separately contained within the box to ensure freshness and that no spills occured. She noticed that the mini pizza we ordered had a few slices that we need to wrap up as well, and made sure a separate container was provided to make sure we took home the remaining mini pizza contents as well.
Anything we needed, she provided. We didn't feel like a burden. We felt welcomed.
Our family lost our father/husband in 2020. Reminiscing on times past, When we were in the mood for GREAT pizza, we'd visit Aurelio's after church on Sundays and dine in as a family. We'd laugh and debrief on the occurances of the week and just enjoy good pizza and family. I have dined in with friends and have spent birthdays at your Homewood location. We are regular customers.
It's always a bitter-sweet moment to eat in tho, because Dad is missing from the festivities. It's not the same. The service Ms. Kathy provided transcended time, and added an element of joy as we remembered the good times we shared collectively in the restaurant with him. My mind can never erase his visage sitting across from me in my memories and that makes me happy and brings comfort when I miss him most.
I pray that Ms. Kathy knows just how much of a blessing she was to us that day. She is truly a gem and a value to your company. Out of the 10 plus years we've dined at the Homewood location, this by far was the best service we've gotten-top 5 best dining experience for sure.
We will return for years to come-hoping to be seated in her section again too! Blessings to you all. Y'alls pizza is always so...
Read moreI’d like to first warn everyone that the parking situation may come across as difficult when finding where to park for the main entrance. Don’t let that discourage you, though! This pizza spot is definitely worth it!
Upon walking in, I felt like I climbed back in time, even farther than the year I was born. My significant other and I were seated at a table in pretty much a central spot of the restaurant. By the way, this place is fairly large!
I ordered a Diet Pepsi Soft Drink 20 OZ and she ordered a Diet Pepsi. I ordered an Individual Dinner Salad with Aurelio’s House Dressing. The salad included Fresh and crisp iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with tomato, cucumber, red onion, diced red peppers, and herbed croutons. We ordered a MD 13” Thin Crust number 12 Pizza, which is a Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza. They label different combinations on a numbering system here. I thought that was a cool concept.
The Pepsi was very sweet. The Diet Pepsi was smooth. Both drinks were great in their own way and they came with free refills. The salad came out fast and it was a decent size. The ingredients were fresh. The dressing paired well with the toppings. I enjoyed the salad. It was definitely a healthy start to what was to come next. The pizza came out not long after the salad. It was beautiful! I could tell by the looks of it that it was going to be amazing. In this case, I judged a book by its cover. It’s a good thing I ended up being right! It was just so dang good. The sauce really did drag me in. The crust was fantastic. Everything about this pizza was perfect to me.
The service we received was prompt throughout our visit. I give our waitress five stars.
Overall, this pizza joint isn’t too far from me and the quality they brought to the table will have me coming back time and time again. The environment was both casual and relaxing. I was impressed and I think plenty of others will be in the future as well. Try them out if you’re a lover of pizza!

211009 The parking was a bit confusing coming from the direction that I did. I had to pass two lots that appeared to be for Aurelio's, but were posted otherwise. If I had come from the other direction, the first lot would have been the correct one and it would not have been an issue.
The appearance of the restaurant is clean, pleasant and feels comfortable. The Mask Mandate is in force.
The wait was lengthy (30 minutes) for a pizzeria and your whole party normally needs to be present to be seated. However, it was a Saturday night and they appeared pretty busy, so okay.
We ordered pizza, #23 Super Six, The Works (sausage, ham, pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese), Thin Crust Fiesta 18". There were four of us and we finished the pizza and were all satisfied. The pizza was good. The thin crust was very good and the sauce is tasty. The ingredients were also good, though the green peppers were not cut small enough.
Don't forget to ask for red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese (which they serve in little packets now).
I also had the Loaded Baked Potato Soup, it was not good. I normally really like that type of soup, this was not good. It was not hot. It was very bland (and, of course there is no salt or pepper on the tables). The ingredients had a mushy mouth-feel and something was stringy.
We all had sodas (Pepsi products) and they were okay.
The service was polite (thank you Carol), and as quick as possible with the staff shortages that all small businesses are suffering through.
The seating tables are small and the four of us were fairly cramped in two chairs and two booth seats.
I rate this dining...
