An Irish pub by name with a bit of green but more an American bar menu. Despite the green I'd say the most irish part of the bar is a wall devoted to navy and marine service members. Irish and sailing go hand in hand in my book.
This is a regular American bar that loves its vets and the fallen of home town sailors and marines. In a bar? Atmosphere is as important as the food and despite a veterans bar not being my thing, I feel comfortable here against the wall next to photos of navy and marine lads and lasses, dominated by a fallen family member's photo. There's a quiet authenticity of it that's hard to miss.
It's a weathered old beast of a bar, dark but warm. The clientele is mixed and at ease. Seat yourself as you come. Music is very light when the stage isn't in use. You can relax and be at ease here.
On to the food. The wings are juicy and well breaded. Bone in of course. Tuesday is wing night. Remember that. I tried the garlic parmesan wings, but next time I am aiming for the hot ones. Yes, there will probably be a next time. Chips are made in house and decent. Prime rib sandwich was on point and portions are what others say, healthy for the price.
As for the butcher bill, it's better to say this is a 20-30 per head place if you're here for dinner and not drinks. Fair for the price. If the scene is up your alley give it a try.

Read moreThis is the second time that I have been here for to eat and then watch live entertainment. The food was ok. The chicken fingers themselves were good. They could have filled the ranch cups up more being they were barely half full. The fries needed a few more minutes of cook time. Again they never have toilet paper in the stalls of the woman’s bathroom. I knew to bring a stack of napkins in there with because the last time they didn’t have toilet paper either. This woman had the nerve to just walk into my stall and grab for toilet paper. At first I thought she was going to rob me but she was grabbing for toilet paper. I mean the nerve. She could have just asked. I had a bunch of napkins but I definitely was not sharing after that. I was trying to tell my boyfriend what happened but he was wasted and it is so loud in there that you can’t hear the person next to you talk. The waitress thought we were fighting and told to leave but I was trying to tell him what happened. Needless to say we didn’t stay for the other band. We paid and left. Never going back. Stock your bathrooms with toilet paper. It’s...
Read moreI had to wait for vehicle repair so Kelly's was an option. Food was by far the worst spent money because I asked if steak was grilled and she said of course and it is great! So I ordered it and it was cooked in a pan or flat top, not griller or broiled. The service was such a rush and no one was there. D was my server and her middle name was IM IN A RUSH "D".
Horrible and I asked her if the chicken tenders were good, and if they are the whole large cut tenders, not thin rubbery kind? She assured me they were juicy...They were NOT. When I brought to the wife, she said no thanks, rubber and gross. Shame on JJ Kelly's trying to stretch out chix breast to have more pieces. Horrible. $70.00 dears later I wish I never stepped foot there and McDonald's would of been 10 times better. Shame on the owners.
Lastly, gave the chicken rubber strips to the...
