Our girls night out to the new St Patricks restaurant/bar was a bit of a nightmare.😳 I know new business have “kinks” to work out (which we were informed numerous times by the staff) but kink after kink is just unacceptable. Our party of four had reservations for 8:15 to which we showed up promptly for, we were seated immediately and greeted by our server a few minutes later. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start with. We received our drinks, but our appetizers were taking a very long time (35-40 minutes) to arrive (we think our server forgot that we ordered them). When we placed our food orders, our server MENTALLY takes all of our orders without writing anything down and we were asked if anyone has any food allergies to which one of us replied “yes, tomatoes”. For those of us that had meals that were prepared to order (steak and lamb chops) one of us ordered medium, another medium well and another medium rare. I said to my girls “since she mentally took our orders, they better be right”. 30 minutes go by and one of our dinner orders comes out by itself, accompanied with a salad that has tomatoes on it. My friend informs the server that she specifically stated she had allergies to them. Now mind you we thought it was odd that they brought out her dish by itself, which is not how food should be served when there is a party of four, everything should come together, so everyone can eat together. When our server took the salad back to fix it, we asked her if all of our meals could come out together, not separately one by one, 10 minutes apart. When all of our food finally arrives (one hour later) my friend that ordered a ribeye w/ baked potato, proceeded to cut into it only to realize it was completely raw in the center, and there was no baked potato, it was mashed potatoes. Our server walked past to which we called her attention to us about the steak and the baked potato, she said “we don’t have any baked potatoes”. We were baffled as to why they would assume she would want mashed potatoes without asking first. So we send her meal back to be fixed. Another 15 to 20 minutes go by, and while myself and my other two friends are eating, my friend with the steak is still waiting on hers to come. At this point, we are clearly visibly frustrated with our experience and we notice other people around us have baked Potatoes🤔We asked to speak to the manager to which she explains that they just opened seven days ago, blah blah blah. My friend’s meal finally comes and at this point we are just ready to get the hell out of there. We sit there for another 30 minutes waiting for our server to come back so that we can pay our bill, and we notice that she has now started bartending, and has completely forgot about us. When the bill arrives, we are informed that we cannot split the bill and that only two forms of payments are allowed. Two of us had cash, two of us had cards. So then we ask if there is an ATM available and a simple “no” was given. My friend asks the server if she can void the entire bill and just give us separate checks. To which they hesitantly complied. What bothers me is gratuity is added to each bill AND the least they could have done was comped my friends meal with the raw steak being that she had to wait 15 minutes for it to come out while we were all eating. For a business to give shitty service and still expect gratuity, blows my mind. Yes the place was beautiful, but the service was absolutely horrible. They had items on the menu that weren’t even available, a server was walking around asking if we had spare silverware to give, we never got our waters refilled, and not even a question of “how is everything” by the server. Yes they were apologetic about everything, but if a business is not prepared to open with trained staff, then clearly some major training needs to take place. I even said to my girls “they need to get a manager from a Pappadeaux‘s in here, they are amazing with customer service and trained staff. We were there for three hours...
Read moreIf I could give the location no stars, I would. I love to support black owned establishments and try out new food, but this experience took a bad turn for me. We went to this restaurant on a rainy sunday evening to celebrate a family member's birthday. We had a party of 14 (2 tables of 7). We had a 6:30 reservation which every member of our party was one time, due to the emphasis on their time policy/cancellation policy. Upon arrival we were told the table was not ready but we can go to the 3rd floor to explore if we'd like and get a refreshment from the bar. Some of us stayed on the second level and others did take the chance to go to the 3rd floor. I sat at the bar on the second floor and ordered a drink where I was waiting for 12 minutes for the drink until I reminded the bartender and she informed me she forgot, even though it was only 2 other people at the bar. The table was finally ready after about 18 minutes, so I told her don't worry about it. We were all seated (again at 2 tables sat right by each other). We had a waitress come over and inform us she'll be handling both tables and the bill will be one check for both tables. That was fine.
From that moment, everything went downhill. We waited 30 min to just receive water and that was only half of our party. Even at the end of us leaving, there were at least 5 people that didn't have water. The waitress only took a few people's drink order, others had to wait (including myself) 30 minutes just to place our drink order because she skipped over us. Half the party didn't receive their drinks, even at the end. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes to order food. Now we read the menu and clearly saw where it stated large parties food can take anywhere between 45- 1 hr. We were fine with that and very patient. Some of us ordered appetizers, never received them. Not to mention after waiting 30 min for the appetizers, the waitress kept coming back and forth and saying they were out of that item, but then they actually do have it, but nope they don't have it. The entire staff was not on one accord, it was very unorganized and clearly had no structure. After 2 hours and 15 minutes worth of waiting no one in our entire party (except one) had received any food. So we were without drinks, food, some appetizers, straws, the very basics, etc. All the while, tables that had come in after us after sitting around for hours had received water, straws, appetizers, drinks and their full meals within a 40 min time frame. Come to find out, the waitress had never put our order in after we had already been waiting 2 hours for food. We asked for a manager, no manager came to the table. We had to flag down a manager in the establishment, which is terrible! No one came to check on the table, apologize, etc. Once we did have the chance to speak to someone, her response was "Ok so what do you want me to do?". The staff and managers are extremely rude and unprofessional.
The place is new (understandable) with new staff and are still trying to get their feet off the ground but with the attitudes and customer service they have they won't be in business long. We read the reviews prior to coming and were on the fence about choosing this place to begin with and turns out we should've followed our first mind. So after 3.5 hours of being at this restaurant we left still hungry and empty-handed with not so much as an "I'm sorry" from anyone. We paid for what we had, which is fair and we left and went to patronize another...
Read moreI see they changed the name from St. Patrick's Steakhouse to St. Patrick's Place. Good! Because what steakhouse only serves steak 3-4 times a week?
We were a party of 3. It took the waiter 25 minutes to come to our table. The only reason a waiter came to our table was because I went to complain to the host. When I walked over to the host about not receiving service, the female owner scurried off. I guess she didn't want to hear me complaining about not receiving service after 25 minutes, instead of trying to ask questions and fix the problem.
After the waiter came to the table, we ordered drinks and were told to order the entree and appetizer at the same time, but we only ordered entrees. We wanted to order steak and were told steak is only served a couple of days out of the week. So after being upset and wanting to leave, we regretfully decided to stay.
We ordered fried shrimp and 2 salmon pasta dishes. The salmon was dry, and the pasta was clumpy. Provare would never! On top of that, my friend had to ask for extra sauce for the dry pasta. Drinks came and were horrible. The cheap liquor they use in the drinks tasted like cigarettes. So at this point, we were ready to go. While waiting for the check, they brought out a Tomahawk steak to a table. Everybody in the restaurant's eyes got big as hell. We were asking the waitress how come they got steak, and steak wasn't on the menu. She replied, "I was told we weren't serving steak tonight, so I'm not sure how they got to order steak." Maybe the owner knew those folks because she went over to the table laughing and giggling with them. Everyone should be treated the same, but not at this unprofessional ass restaurant. By this time, everyone in the restaurant was pissed!
We received our check and noticed we were charged an extra $8, $4 a piece for the salmon pasta dishes. I pointed out the price, and the waitress told me that was the price on the menu. I asked for the menu; she came back 10 minutes later saying the price change is not reflected on the menu, so she took the $8 off the check. Needless to say, despite all the negative reviews, we still tried to give this place a chance, and they failed us from the service to the food. Won't see me back at St. Patrick's Steakhouse, I mean St. Patrick's Place.
Update: I should've stated the date we dined at St. Patrick's, so they wouldn't think I'm leaving a false review. We dined there on the 23rd of April for dinner. So yeah, everything I stated was true. We were told there was no steak on the dinner menu that night because steak was only served...
