I lived at this apartment from Jan 15th, 2012- Aug 13th, 2012, and for lack of better wording, I WANT THE LAST SIX MONTHS OF MY EFFING LIFE BACK!
This is quite possibly the WORST apartment complex in existence, based on my experience. Where to start?
The landscaping is NOT picturesque, the landscapers laid DEAD SOD, they do not clean up the trash, the gutters fell off my building, and instead of repairing it or even disposing of it, I watched a maintenance worker throw the broken gutter, against my building and my SATTELITE DISH!!!!
The parking lot was refinished about 4 months ago, their definition of refinishing is to PAINT the asphalt. The majority of the lot has potholes, and they are not little, they will eat your vehicle.
It was obvious that our front door had been kicked in during a previous tenant's occupancy, the drywall by the door had been destroyed and repaired, but the door itself was in horrible condition, and constantly leaking cold air. I put a maintenance request in within the first month of our lease, and our door did not get replaced until APRIL. January, February, and March's energy bills were close to $300 dollars, EACH. And it took the leasing office manager until JUNE to make up the difference in our rent. Even through that, they only credited us $80.
I hold no sarcasm in this statement, each time you need to contact the office, whether it be a maintenance request, or an absolute emergency, like the furnace blew up, each time you need to contact the office, it takes at least 15 calls to get ANYONE to answer the call.
The apartment complex implicated parking passes in March, and each tenant was required to display the pass in the window. I obtained my parking pass the day they began issuing them. About two months ago, I went to leave for work and my car was booted. No one answered in the leasing office until 4PM, they told me that they couldn't do anything and to call the security company. The idiot that booted my car, wrote the WRONG phone number down, and the number on the signs went to a busy signal. (Later found out the owner of the company forwards his calls to his cellphone while he is out of the office, and something malfunctioned I suppose.) West Metro, did not dispatch anyone to remove the boot on my car until 8:30PM. I missed a 12 hour shift at work, and also had to pay the $75 boot removal fee. WHEN MY PARKING PASS WAS HANGING FROM MY REAR VIEW MIRROR IN MY CAR!!!!!!! The apartment complex did not take any responsibility, claimed that no money exchanges hands between their complex and West Metro, and that I was out of luck. I took a $200 hit that day alone.
The apartments are infested with ants, spiders, and mold. The entire floor of the unit I lived in, was entirely water damaged, and there was a spot in our dining room that was molded under the laminate flooring. To the point that the floor felt like it was going to cave.
Maintenance requests would not take days, but weeks, and occasionally a full month.
Through my residence there, I was in a violent relationship, now I have gotten out of it, and I am trying to complete all my move out duties from a far to limit contact with my previous cohabitant. I have left 5 voice mails asking for the manager to return my calls, and there has been no communication.
My car was keyed at one point while living there as well, and when I asked the complex if they had cameras and if they would be willing to look, the manager practically laughed at me and verbatim said "It's not our responsibility to make you feel safe". No, it may not be YOUR responsibility, but your responsibility as the manager of the place that I am residing, and forking out $800 a month, is to give me the semblance of security and comfort in my home.
This complex does NOT care about it's tenants, does not care about the safety and well being of the people in it's community, and will avoid any repairs, at all cost. Do not put your money into a place that will not treat you worth the time. GO SOMEWHERE...
Read moreIf i could rate this place with no stars i would. This is the worst apartment complex i have ever rented from. They will lie to you just to get you to sign the lease, and that's exactly what happened to me. I have had maintenance issues since the day i moved in. When showed this property, i was showed a unit that was nicely put together and was told that all of the units looked like this and they would have new paint, fresh carpet and it would be move in ready, like new. When i went to pick up my keys and shown my unit, there were so many issues that i believe it would not be considered move in ready - it smelled like smoke, the carpets were stained, ripped and food was still embedded in the carpets, there were cobwebs, clogged sinks, the seal around the bathtub was barley hanging on, all of the closet doors were broken and the front door had a large open space where the seal should have been. I immediately told them these things needed to be fixed, and they told me they would have it all done in a couple days for when i officially moved in. However, it took over a month and me going to the office every few days to finally get most of these issues fixed. I'm constantly going to the office about maintenance issues and they keep saying they will fix things and they are not getting fixed. Right now i am dealing with a possible leakage from my upstairs bath tub down into the downstairs bathroom which could lead to serious and dangerous issues - its been over a week now and they haven't even shown up.
There is also the fact that there are kids running around wild there. I have had many kids hanging out on my porch, ive seen them sitting on other people's cars, throwing rocks, being destructive to other tenant's property and have had multiple things stolen off my porch - i even caught one of the kids stealing something. I went to the office about this and they didn't seem to care and told me it was my own fault that i left things on my porch. They say they have security, but every time i have seen the "security guard" on site, he is sitting around not doing his job. This apartment complex does not feel safe at all.
The staff will say they will follow through with something and will get back to you, however they have never returned any of my phone calls, followed up and maintenance has never left any notification for me that they have been inside my apartment or fixed anything. They are very unresponsive and dont act like they care at all about the tenants. They also told me i could have two cars before i signed my lease, and now they decided to let me know i can only have one, So after signing my lease and registering my two cars, i am now being told i can only have one - when i asked them what i was supposed to do, the woman just said she didn't know and didnt have a care in the world.
Overall, this is a terrible place to live and i would advise anyone to look somewhere else, i wish i did. Everything they told me and showed me was a big misrepresentation and if i know how it would have been living here then i would have never lived here. If you want a safe, reliable and well maintained apartment complex with a staff who actually cares, this is not the...
Read moreI lived at this complex last year for 8 months and from start to finish it was the WORST place I have ever lived. Right from the start I should have known that I should not have moved here; they lied about having six month leases and when my roomate and I finally got to the office to sign the lease we were informed that the smallest leases they offered were eight months. At that point we were stuck as we were moving from out of state and had nowhere else to live. Also many 'fees' were not mentioned in the price when we signed our lease until this point and again we were stuck and had no other options. Upon moving into the neighborhood we found many issues that were not clear to us at the beginning. The fire department was there every other day for the same few apartments - this was not addressed by the owneres. The parking lot was full of potholes and the landscaping was poorly maintained. There were barking dogs and screaming children always out everywhere. (The dog issue we complained about because of the CONSTANT barking by the same people, and this was never resolved). The office staff/owners were very friendly and nice until about halfway through our lease and a new group of staff took over. These new people were uncaring, unknowledgable, and incompetent. Francesca, the main manager is one of the worst people I have ever had to deal with and her customer service skills were non-existant. The apartment itself was also a problem. Although it looks very nice and clean when you first move it you come to realize that there are MANY problems with how everything works. The dishwasher door would get stuck on the wall when you tried to open it due to poor design, the toilet and sinks were ALWAYS stopped-up due to previous tenants stuffing tampons and hair down them. (which when we finally had someone come and fix this after many complaints, they blamed it on us). RUDE. And then there was the issue of the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom leaked down the walls onto the downstairs bathroom all the time. We complained and complained and after about two months they came to fix it. Did not fix it the first time. We finally complained enough that they took the walls and ceiling out of the downstairs bathroom to find massive amounts of mold growing from the leak. They replastered everything but did not repaint and made a huge mess in our house which we then had to clean up. RUDE. Within a week of the replastering the walls were leaking again. So we gave up. Overall I would never tell someone to live in this complex. Especially under this new 'managment' team....
