Stopped at Chili's for lunch today on the way home from a day out with my little son. So disappointed with Chili's service today at this location. Typically, when my elderly parents and I stop in to have lunch before shopping at Costco, there are no problems with service. Unfortunately, today was a different experience. My son and I got seated for lunch and everything was going smoothly until we ordered our meals, then our frustrations of poor service started. No visits to our table or any explanations from our waitress as to why our meals were taking so long (my little son was going into a hunger breakdown after 35 minutes), and after recieving our meals our waitress never once came back to check up on us until I flagged her down about a missing extra order of fries. Also, after flagging our waitress down for a children's dessert of ice cream, she brought over a cup with HALF a scoop of ice cream and ran off again without asking if I wanted another glass of my beverage. I had to flag her down, again, for a box but after waiting over 7 minutes, I decided it wasn't worth my time to take home the leftovers. I paid (with a tip, although small), and left. I'm trying to decide if one bad experience at this location should stop me from revisiting it in the future. The reason I stopped going to Chili's in Lafayette since last year was the continuous bad service over many visits, the last visit being the worst with my family waiting over an hour for our meals. Read moreYesterday we went out for dinner, a lot of choices but we decided Chili's because we love Chili's. Our server was Xavier, this was the 2nd time we had him.as our server and the 2nd time it was a disappointment. We were pretty much ignored again, while two other waitresses were in the same area, watched as we had no drinks, needed help and they just walked by. Xavier came by and dropped off our food, that was it. We had for more chips and salsa, drinks and just would have appreciated if someone came by to check on us. The manager came after he saw us looking for our server, I told him we hadn't seen our waiter since he dropped off the food. He didn't apologize or ask if he could do anything to make it up. We paid 60 dollars for nothing, Xavier still did not come back and we were his one of his 2 tables... The manager laughed as he walked away almost like he did not care, that was obvious in his attitude and actions. We still tipped Xavier over $13 only to hear him say I am sorry I forgot about you.. Overall it was frustrating to see servers walk by and not offer to help. I have been in restaurant management and have worked in restaurants over 20 years, I understand all sides of the situation, BUT when you have a staff standing around doing nothing, laughing, taking smoke breaks and wondering why they aren't making any money or why the Restaurant is empty... Both male manger and female manager we have encountered there are rude and do not really seem to care and that is said, I know there are good workers there, they should not have to suffer because of others.. Read moreMy husband and I and our daughter went last night at 8 pm. And from the start the host was very rude and kept trying to seat us in the bar we don’t know if they were trying to close the other side but we told him we didn’t want the bar, so he sat us on the other side. Things kept getting worse, we sat there for a good 20 minutes and seeing other waitress in the area not even coming to greet us at all. To busy with whatever they were doing. If you see customers stop what you are doing and greet them it’s not that hard. Also after 20 minutes we almost walked out but I wanted to give them a chance and apparently they only had one girl working that side last night. After I asked the host that we haven’t been greeted at all he was rude but got us help and she finally comes, and was Soo fake as ever, and was NOT friendly the whole time we won’t be going back. And we had to ask for refills the whole time. And when we complained to the Host she went up and whispered to him idk if it was about us but she kept giving us looks. The managers really need to know how bad of employees that have on night shift it’s not even ok to treat customers like that. But looks like from other reviews that they have lost a lot of customers and we will be joining that group of people that won’t be back until management cleans up their employees.
