I've been waiting to visit since I saw the name of the restaurant on their signage. It is located in the old Wendy's restaurant with some of their old staff. The exterior is phenomenal. They set up couches and tables, come summer time this place is going to be popping. There is a variety of restaurants within walking/ driving distance featuring Mexican, Asian, Italian, Greek, chicken cuisine, and several hamburger joints. The one missing ingredient was a good barbecue place, and now we have it. As soon as you enter, you know you're going to be satisfied with what they have to offer. They made some slight adjustments to how the Wendy's was set up. The major difference is the ice cream parlor and the bar. They have a nice variety of food items to choose from. They were out of ribs on a Sunday evening, but given it was their second opening weekend, it was understood. The food was very flavorful. The Carolina pulled pork was outstanding, and I loved the apple slaw with the mustard dressing to die for! We also ordered some chicken wings and cheese fries. Loved them, too. Three people really stood out. One cashier, who took out order and brought it to us, a young lady who was constantly cleaning and checking up on us and the bartender. All females, no name tags or way to recognize them. The only complaint was that everyone huddled to the left of the cashier, including employees, and most workers were wearing black vinyl gloves out on the floor, making it seem like they also handled food. The bill came out to about $35 for two people, no alcoholic drinks. I definitely will return and highly recommend this place. Welcome...
Read moreMy teen son and I always drove by this location on the way to his basketball practice sessions as the restaurant was being put in. I was always curious about it and would mention it every time we drove by. After a while my son would just ignore my curiosity. Well we finally stopped in a few weeks ago and had a quick dinner before his basketball practice that evening. My son's initial thought was, "well at least mom will stop talking about it all the time now". But, as soon as he saw the menu and took his first bite of food he was blown away! Probably the best BBQ restaurant we have had in a long time. He ordered one of the Jack Potatoes with pulled pork and I got their hot honey wings with onion rings! Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The potato was so big, 2 or 3 people could have eaten it! For those who enjoy an alcoholic beverage with their meals, they also have a small little bar inside. And for the after dinner sweet treat they also have a little ice cream shop inside. It's a little pricey, but oh so good! Now we both can't stop talking about G...
Read moreWent in tonight, a couple days after the grand opening to give it a try because I've heard good things about the other locations and was not disappointed! When you walk in its very nice! Clean, upbeat and includes a full bar, outdoor patio and ice creamery! The staff was kind and upbeat. Management walked around greeting most people. I was disappointed that neither manager stopped to check on us, but I'll survive lol. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and The Nashville Hot smoked and fried chicken sandwich. We also got the seasoned fries. The BBQ pork was extremely good! Topped off with the "Hottish" sauce, was definitely a good choice. I can see why its a popular choice. The Chicken sandwich wasn't bad either. It barely had any Nashville Hot sauce on it so we had to add some more of the hottish sauce. Fries were hot and crispy and very well seasoned! Overall it was a good experience. Glad they are in the neighborhood and hope they do well!! I will definitely be back to try some other meats, some ice cream and their $1 happy...
