Basically, daughter's 15th Bday. She wanted a Baskin Robbins cake. We have been coming here for years for cakes, ice cream and polar pizzas (my favorite)...Never an issue. The atmosphere was hot and sweaty as they do not seem to know how to use the AC. So we got the cake same evening as the party and placed the cake in the freezer. Once ready to serve (Same night), we defrosted for 20-30 mins as instructed. No one could eat the cake. The icing literally tasted like a band aid. Yes, I have tasted band aids on my fingers in the past....haven't you? :) We had no idea what could have done this. We retained the (about) half of the cake that was not cut and distributed, as the cut pieces were tossed by each person due to the taste of the icing. Called the owner 5 days later....life got in the way for more immediate call. The owner stated that we should have come in the same day. The birthday party was in the evening and the owner was already leaving when we picked up the cake. We told her that we still had the cake if she wanted to taste the icing :), She stated that although we told her how we handled the cake that she could not verify that we were telling the truth. She didn't say it exactly that way, but that's what it 'boiled down to.' She would not refund, which was fine. We really figured that it was an isolated incident and just wanted the $54 credit to buy a couple of...you guessed it, Polar Pizzas! She instead offered a 20% off coupon. The cake compromised my daughter's BDAY, but moreover, this small business owner needs to realize that a refund or a full value coupon was a way to keep business. We are not going to claim the offered coupon...it's an insult. We are not going to return, not because of the bad cake, but because of the poor customer service that resulted when we called with a legitimate complaint. We told a friend who was having a kid's Bday 4 days later who also frequents this location and her daughter also wanted a BR cake and she went to a different Baskin Robbins as a result. Business owner.....please think about this...a full refund or coupon would have kept our business, our friend's business and a review would never have been posted. And by the way....I never give negative reviews, ever. But it was the implication that we were lying about how the cake was handled or stored...
Read moreI was so excited to hear that this Baskin Robbins was reopening, so I took my kids to the grand reopening and it was everything I wanted. First off, they had $.31 ice cream scoops and special activities like a DJ and prize wheel. Those were fun, but the main star was still the ice cream. There are many ice cream shops out there, but Baskin-Robbins has mastered the art of combining flavors. It's like you can taste one of the flavors and automatically know where it comes from. That is especially true for their peanut butter chocolate ice cream. With huge gobs of peanut butter in a creamy chocolate ice cream base, there's nothing like it. The store itself is pretty basic, with a few tables and chairs, but the two cases of ice cream flavors really stand out. In addition, they also serve ice cream cakes and ice cream clowns, that are always fun. The staff is very friendly and will allow you to taste as many different flavors as you'd like. If you have not visited Baskin-Robbins in a while, make any excuse to go again. You will...
Read moreWow, where do I even begin? The ice cream parlor has any flavor you can imagine from American Birthday Cake to such seasonal items like the Pumpkin Cheesecake! The place has nice music and the place is relatively quiet and peaceful. The seats are very comfortable and the tables are very sturdy. Not only do they have ice-cream but they also have ice-cream cakes as well as seasonal themes on them as well. I highly recommend this place because it is very authentic and old fashioned. Whether you are young or old, ice-cream always helps no matter how bad the situation is. Try the Pumpkin Cheesecake, you will love it! But you better hurry because this is a limited item!Happy Fall everyone! Also, Happy...
