Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

Wanted to try the Peets store and was thrilled to see their selection of whole beans - many organically sourced and offering donations to environmental causes (like the Yosemite National Park Conservancy). Tried to download the app but it seems clunky with empty promises of discounts and coupons. Nevertheless, Sam, the manager, commiserated with our frustrations and offered our drinks complimentary - which was totally unnecessary. But honestly, this provided us the opportunity to experience her master barista skills! She made us an Havana Cappuccino with perfect foam, perfect pour, perfect sweetness, and perfect temperature, all the while making friendly conversation with her cheerful smile. Her barista, Bijan, shared with us stories of the "art of the pour-over." He definitely knows his beans and his techniques. Very happy to...

I love this Peet’s location. The staff is great. The crew really does go above and beyond to make your drink exactly how you like it, and they take a genuine interest in us customers. I am always asked how my day is or what I’m up to. They know my order, and it’s like catching up with a friend every morning. On more than one occasion they have really brightened my day. Today the power was out (by no fault of their own) and they offered cold brew or tea to everyone who walked in. Ultimately, my loyalty is about being able to rely on a really good cup of coffee... this store crafts the perfect coffee, AND I like the humans who...

I've been itching to try Peet's in person for over 20 years now. I've been out to Southern California a couple times in that time but it never worked out until recently... I am still impressed.

A quality cup of coffee with excellent service. I also bought some coffee beans to take home and make myself and I appreciate that the roast-date was marked on each bag... Something omitted from they-who-won't-be-named's offerings.

I don't know why I didn't try harder on previous trips, especially considering how much more I enjoyed my cup than I do when I buy from big-green back home.
