Walked in and it was empty. Girl at counter greeted us by saying “what do you want” in extremely broken English. My husband asked for manager as we had questions on this location. We have been eating at the Zankou location in Van Nuys for over 25 yrs and the Burbank location at least 10 years. Both super busy & fantastic food. She told a guy in kitchen we wanted mngr and he refused to come talk to us. My husband asked again and then he approached the counter and spoke no English. My husband asked him question & he had to ask girl at counter who also didn’t understand much English to translate and we just walked out. Unfortunately it was terrible, unorganized staff, filthy dirty both the food prep area as well as the dining areas. So disappointing, I asked for a manager to discuss and issue I had with points earned by texting after a previous visit. Staff was unable to fulfill the baklava earned from previous visit. Think hummus, Tahini, Pita bread, and meats cooked on vertical rotisserie. The food lends itself to be mixed together.
