Scathingly poor management and design - it’s like elementary school kids designed a park.
Sure, it looks fine, but maybe they should have known what they were doing before throwing away citizens’ money.
Want to use rocks? Yeah, let’s use rocks. It will cost a lot of money to purchase, obtain, and ship so much weight here, but we have decided it will be ok.
It turned out that using rocks in this fashion is against code, so they have to pay to get rid of what was expensive. Great process to take action when you have no idea what you’re doing.
Other designs and problems have happened as well. The fountain has something wrong with it, so it needs to be fixed by disassembling everything and re-doing things.
Last time I drove by the swings were surrounded with yellow tape. Oops, I meant the stoopid wood swings that are attached to each other and facing different directions so you can talk.
Keep the graffiti away and we’ll see if it reaches a decent, acceptable status.

Time will tell.. edit2: The swings no longer exist, but the remnants (large wooden "swing" structures) are still there.. with cheap tables underneath so you can sit calmly, and philosophically ponder...
Read moreFirst time coming to the splash pad this evening. Kiddos took shoes and socks off. My oldest right away cut his foot and was bleeding from the splash pad fountain. One of the fountain heads was SHARP and when I investigated around, the cement tiles were loose. My youngest also slipped but wasn't hurt either. No other warnings about anything related to splash pad on signs anywhere except this sign that says No Pets Allowed in Splash Pad. Luckily it's not deeper but this is our first and last time...
Read moreAbsolutely no shade and no good seating for parents around the splash pad. There’s a grassy spot but it’s hilly and sloped and a couple rocks but other than that it’s concrete. I’m so disappointed as I thought this was going to be a perfect near by summer spot but I just end up cooking and the kids end up running into other kids with the splash pad having such a small foot print. Really upset we got a concrete jungle instead of a creative and incorporating...
