I visited this Wingstop location in Tigard, OR today at 10:51 pm. I will purposefully be focusing on the time, because that's the reason I was refused service. Before arriving to the restaurant I called to place my order and ended up with a order rep that takes the inbound calls when the store can't answer (this was around 10:35 pm). Before I placed my order, I asked the rep what time the Tigard, OR location closes and they said at 12am. I was surprised they were open so late, so I decided to not place my order over the phone because I wasn't too far from the location and figured I could just order inside. I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted to order, so I thought it would be best to order in person so that I could look at the menu as well. I arrived to the location at approximately at 10:51pm. There was 1 person in front of me completing their order and paying. When it was my turn to order (at 10:53pm), a different guy walked up from the kitchen (Sam) and asked me "Was I picking up an order" (this person was not the cashier who had just taken the guys order before). I told him "No, I'm about to place my order now". He (Sam) then ask me "What are you going to order" and I said "Some boneless wings". At this moment I'm thinking they must be out of something or running low on certain products. He responds to me and says "The boneless wings take 6 mins to cook and we close at 11pm". At this point the time both my phone and smart watch show 10:53 pm. In confusion, I clarify if he meant they were out of the boneless wings and he reiterated the same thing about the time to cook and the closing time. As you can imagine I am shocked, because this sounds like a ridiculous policy. I never mention that the rep I spoke to said they closed at 12pm, because it didn't seem like it mattered. I respond and say "Well that doesn't make a lot of sense, your doors are open and the guy before me just ordered. It's 10:53 pm right now, so if that's the case you have 7 mins to make my food that takes 6 mins to cook. He responds and says "Well our clock says that it is 10:57 pm". I tell him that the time is incorrect and asked that he pull out his cell phone and see the time that everybody else on the west coast would also have, which would have been 10:53 pm. He proceeds to tell me that he has to go by the clock in their system, even thought it's clearly 3-4 min fast. Are you kidding me!! As I continue to go back and forth with him, I remind him that rather than debate this with me, you could have already started the food and it would solve the issue, but instead he wanted to be utterly ridiculous about this policy. Mind you, he's the manager as well. Needless to say I didn't end up getting my food, but I decided to call back to get a corporate number so that I can file a former complaint. I call the restaurant at exactly 11:15 pm to get the number for corporate and wouldn't you know that Sam answered the phone. I guess it wasn't routed to the reps this time. I first ask "What time do you close", Sam replies "We actually closed 15 mins ago". Now if your following what I just said, I called at 11:15 pm exactly and he said they closed 15 mins ago, which means that now, all of sudden our time is in sync. Time is important to this story because that's why they wouldn't take my order. I let him know that this is the same person that just in your store that you refused service to because of the wrong time our your end. He proceeded to hang up the phone in my face, lol. I can' t make this up. In conclusion, Wingstop could have just made the food. It's not that serious. We are talking a 3-4 min difference, in which they were wrong about, which would have completely changed the outcome. Don't patron...
Read moreI stopped in tonight and spent $40 on my daughter and I. we arrived before 10 all the tables were covered with chairs already, but 2. We drove from the coast and wanted to try something we've never had before. Most likely will not be returning. The cashier was going back and forth between his friends that were there. They ordered, then we ordered. One of the friends told the cashier after cashing out, that he wanted fries. The cashier said he'd give him fries. That was a red flag to me ,being I am a manager at a corporate chain, I am confident that this is not okay. Anyways we sat and ate our meals very uncomfortably being the only table available was right next to the door. Had there been more tables to sit, we wouldn't have gotten as many stare downs by other guests seeing how long they'd have to wait for this table, because the cashier's friends were at the other available table lol. Didn't even finish our meals, but I needed to place a togo for other people at my house. Would have spent close to $150 bucks at this establishment, but kid said"we are no longer taking walk in orders there is just of us."3 was 3 not hard to drop boneless wings into a fryer and sauce them. Honestly with an effort well seasoned employee one person could have done it. I watched the 3 of them. It was pretty apparent. Anyways .Nobody else was in line, however there was a group of what had to have been 6 or more before that came in and they left immediately. And I was wondering why. But I guess that was the reason. Btw Google said you're open till 11 and the sign on your door does say open late. Anyways between our family and that small group an easy $200 or more in less than 15 minutes walked out your door. All so these guys could do their sidework, meh they're getting paid minimum who care about generating revenue for the company they work for. I was shocked when he told me this, and even said okay" that's horrible" and walked away and was immediately met with a double bird while my back was turned. Honestly I wasn't even rude just shocked. I would never turn away a guest, I might explain it may take longer and then get started on their order..not trying to be a Karen but this was a pretty...
Read moreWORST experience ever! Ordered delivery food was delivered quick, realized items were missing my daughter’s whole dinner so I called the restaurant nobody answered I sat on hold for 11 minutes the first time then 29 minutes the second time before having to drive to the store. I go into the store while on hold and see the phones are ringing as I’m STILL on hold and ask for the manager. I asked if the phones were not working because I’ve been trying to get through for the past 40 minutes she said she didn’t know then stood there confused. I let her know it looked like they were working but nobody was answering becahse ive been trying to call for 40 minutes and showed her my phone. i then proceeded to let her know i had a delivery and my daughters meal was missing and she just stared at me so i just asked if she would kindly refund me my money for her meal since there was no suggestion of anything being done, she did. needless to say this location is chaotic and no organization & no LACK OF EMPATHY at all.
