Excellent food, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere Wu’s Open Kitchen is truly one of the gems in Tigard for anyone who enjoys high-quality Chinese cuisine. The food is consistently excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can taste the care that goes into each dish, from the perfectly crisp green beans to the tender meats and generous portions of rice. Everything I’ve ordered has arrived hot, well-seasoned, and full of authentic flavor. The service is very good, too. The staff is courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Even when the restaurant gets busy, they manage to keep things running smoothly with a welcoming attitude that makes you feel like a valued guest. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed — the kind of place where you can linger over your meal and enjoy good conversation without feeling rushed. Wu’s is also conveniently located, which makes it an easy choice for both dine-in and takeout. My only minor complaint — and the reason for four stars instead of five — is that the prices feel a bit on the high side for casual dining. Still, the quality of the food and service makes it worth an occasional splurge. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreHorrible. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Cashew Nut Chicken. The service was fast and friendly. When we got home we had the soup (hot and Spicy) first. It was OK maybe a little less, but for restaurant where it is made in large batches and served though the day it was OK. Then we got to to the big box. The spring roll was from winter, but the biggest turnoff was the sweet and sour sauce. IT WAS MOLDY. This is a prepackaged sauce (I know because I had 3 packages of the same sauce) It takes a lot to let that get moldy. That explains the spring rolls. The Kung Pao chicken was just chicken. No Veggies. Typically in Kung Pao chicken you have Celery, Zucchini, Peas, Water chestnuts, Wood ears, Corn... or some combination of these. That is the recipe defined by the guy that invented Kung Pao early in the century. What did we get? Nothing but chicken with peanuts fried in a dark brown sauce that did not taste like Kung Pao. The cashew nut chicken was visibly better but used the same sauce?? All in all, the meal was horrible and we didn't finish it. It went into the recycling bin. Mold and all. I'll wait though the night to see...
