Pacific Breeze — Restaurant in Tigard

I really wanted to like this place, they were super friendly, even though I arrived 30 mins before they closed to order take out. I had the massaman curry and I wasn't impressed, there was something off-putting about the flavor, I can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't good. I also had 2 salad rolls which I wasn't fond off, but I'll admit, I had never had salad rolls until then, and maybe I just don't like them in general. Just too one flavor bland and basil-y. It was like I just went and grabbed a handful of Thai basil from my herb garden and started munching. Even the peanut sauce that came with them was pretty gross. It wasn't even like it was cheap, I don't know what the good prices are everyone is referring to on here, Did they go have a lunch special or something? My curry and 2 salad rolls came to roughly $22, which I don't find to be a spectacular bargain. Yeah, I guess there was a decent amount of food, but nothing above what I would consider normal. And frankly, a large quantity of Thai food you don't like, is just a large quantity that ends up in the trash. It really sucked cause I'm on a super tight budget right now, but I splurged on this because (based on other reviews) I figured it would be really good so I'd have a special treat. It’s such a delight, when you choose to go out for dinner, to not only have delicious tasting food, but have great service. First time eating here, and definitely won’t be my last. Immediately greeted by Bonnie. You could tell she was smiling through her mask, simply from the care she took in taking my order. When asked for suggestions, she was quick to offer all her favorites. Single handedly, she was able to assist me, 2 tables of 3, one take out, one single table and another table of 2. I had a small vegetarian pho’ and tofu salad rolls...with a Thai coffee...yum yum. All perfectly delicious and perfectly priced! Gotta check this place out, you won’t be disappointed and you will leave...

Can't believe I've been coming here for like 8 years and have never left a review!! This place is the best in the area, hands down. Food is always fresh, hot, prompt, and so delicious! But the most important thing is that everyone on the staff is so friendly and genuine. With the world being built up around us with store and restaurant chains and revolving doors of staff turnover, the days of going into your regular place and being recognized and welcomed with a "hey, how's the family doing?" are behind us :( but not at Pacific Breeze. They treat everyone with kindness of course, but if you're a regular, they go above and beyond for you and treat you like a good friend. We need more of that...
