Hygge Kitchen is a small caffe in the middle of Tillamook that has some upside but lots of rough edges. As you walk in a dead deer clinging to the wall says “hello good sir, does this ignite your appetite?” To which I say “no it does not”. The whole inside is coated with either dead deer, hooks and reels for fishing, and weird paintings of fish. I dont understand this decor at all, why fish? I want a nice latte and a sweet treat, why fish? I will ask the owner some day. Anyways I order and the service is pretty okay, especially the lady who brought out my drink and was relatively fast. The seating space is kinda cramped but thats what you get at a small town cafe. I ordered a latte and a cookie, both of which were 6/10. Nothing crazy good but not bad either. If you follow my reviews (hello to my fans!) you know I stress good value. The value here is not very good so to speak. I would need to try the food sometime, but for my purposes and needs as of today it was too expensive for little enjoyment on my part. However, I would rather go to Hygge kitchen everyday then ever step foot into the dutch mill cafe ever again. So 3/5, I would...
Read moreWell first off I ordered 2 small mochas made with coconut milk and they gave me regular milk I have a mild lactose intolerance so that sucked ,2 small mochas were $7.00 a piece.so I spent $14.00 for two. On top off all that it took them 20 minutes to make the 2 small mochas. People who came in after we it got served before us. So I would say to the ladies running this establishment need to get better with their priorities and learn some organizational skills, learn how to take orders correctly and pay attention to detail or you are not going to survive. Your prices are to high for Tillamook, I don't even pay $7.00 for a medium mocha out in Hillsboro or Beaverton Oregon ever. At this rate you won't last long lots off other places in Tillamook make coffee better and have...
Read moreThe food was soooo good! As soon as we walked in it felt like home and the employees were so nice. Clear commitment to local ingredients, welcoming atmosphere, and truly delicious, fueling food. We had the baked in ham and cheese buns, a fresh-out-of-the-oven scone, and fabulous fair trade coffee. They even had a kid’s steamer option on the coffee menu, which made my 10 year old feel so very special :-) It’s a delight to see an establishment making such intentional choices with each element of their operations - we are absolutely making Hygge Kitchen part of our routine! Ask about their secret garden dining spot...
