Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Tilton

I absolutely love Applebee's if you ask ANYONE I know.... However, the last time I was in the Tilton, NH location on November 2nd 2024 I was sooooo disappointed, not in the food but the staff. In particular the bartender, but the rest of the floor staff on that night in particular were all in my opinion rude and totally unprofessional! My fiance and I were in Tilton running errands and wanted to get Applebee's before we headed home. I used my Applebee's app to make a to go order and since we were right down the road, understandably it was not ready yet when we got there. So when we went in to pick up our order we sat at the bar to have a drink. We sat at the bar for close to 10 minutes before the bartender (who we spoke to about our Togo order moments before) even acknowledged that we were there, and it wasn't very busy in there since it was about 1030 at night. She made our drinks and everything about her body language said she was angry, I'm not sure about what? After all she was the one who had just ignored us for 10 minutes.... She gave us our drinks with a disgusted look on her face, and walked away. She went out back to the kitchen for I would say 5-7 minutes, as waitstaff went in and out. When she came back she had our food, it takes us about 30 minutes to get home from Tilton so instead of eating cold food we decided to have another drink and eat our food there. She put it down in front of us, put our check for the drinks on the counter right in front of us and said "for when your drinks are gone". I quickly replied before she could walk away again that we decided to eat our food sitting there at the bar and were going to have another drink, again a disgusted look and this time an eye roll. She snatched up the check and turned around. We ignored her disrespectful behavior AGAIN! (much to my fiances dismay) We took our food out of the bags and set it out in front of us to eat, at this point our drinks are gone. She went to the other side of the bar where 3 waitresses were standing, she said something to them and all 4 woman were now glaring at us from across the bar.... I mean really what the hell is the problem? I just spent $60.00 plus tip on food and was spending another $60.00 plus tip for drinks, there was no dishes to take care of, so why are they all staring at us pissed off. Then she came back over and said "I suppose you want another round now?" I said "yes, that would be great, thanks." She got our drinks and brought them over, and I said "excuse me, is there a problem here that I'm not aware of?" She said "nope, no problem". I said "ok, we're going to have a shot as well" to which she replied "really?" At this point I am beyond disgusted with the service we had received all night, we ordered our shots, sucked them down, sucked our drinks down, packed up our food, wiped the counter where we sat payed the tab and got the hell out of there. It won't stop me from eating at my favorite restaurant but definitely not if she...

If I could give zero Stars I would. Me and my family stopped at the tilton Applebee's for dinner and have the worst experience in a restaurant probably ever. It took over 10 minutes for us to even be acknowledged sitting in our booth when the waitress finally came over to talk about menu options and drinks mid-sentence coughed directly in my wife's face with no attempt of covering her mouth. After placing our order it was easily over 40 minutes before our food came out, and don't get me wrong I understand food takes a long time when restaurants are busy but this was going on 10 o'clock and the restaurant was maybe half full at best. I had ordered the ribs and got a side salad. Instead of receiving my side salad before the meal it all came out together and there was no room on the table for all of the plates. My wife got the quesadilla burger which was cold cold not just being picky but cheese was hard on it cold. and my daughter got the children's Kraft macaroni and cheese with a side of mozzarella sticks and fruit yogurt. Me and my wife never got a single refill on our drinks the entire visit and we finally call the waitress over to make a complaint when we noticed our daughter shop at her mac and cheese with a spoon because it was clearly leftovers that were reheated in the microwave as the entire dish was one big solid chunk. The waitress brought the manager over who was absolutely no help and not the most polite. said he would have to go yell at somebody in the back for it and he would take care of our daughters bill for her mac and cheese as we explained to him that the quesadilla burger and everything else wasn't a big deal we could look past it because we aren't the type of people to try and get things for free. But when we finally did get the bill we were completely blown away and dumbfounded to see that the manager took off the children's meal and individually re-added her side of mozzarella sticks and fruit yogurt...... Long story short we will never enter...

Walked into the restaurant and immediately noticed how welcoming the atmosphere was it was. I was greeted by a worker by the name of Haley she was very welcoming and kind. Then before I could say what I wanted instead of saying what can I get you she asked me what I was thinking that I wanted and it kind of stopped me in my thought process because I’ve never been asked that before so I told her what I was thinking and then she made suggestions. Some of you reading this may be thinking what does that have to do with a review. Well I’ll tell you it shows not only her ability to think outside the box of what the customer wants but also shows the love of what she does and I don’t think that is celebrated enough in the workplace. When Haley brought me my food through conversation I found out that she had been working all day mind you it’s about 11 pm by now. So while I was waiting for my food and a worker by the name of Courtney walked up to me and was very kind and friendly sorry I don’t have more to say about you Courtney as our conversation was probably about 30 seconds long but you are great keep up the good work. So if you go into this establishment and want to sit at a table I suggest asking to sit in Haleys section and if at the bar hopefully Courtney is there. Oh and the food was absolutely amazing. Manager also great and seemed to care about his employees. So I hope this reaches upper management because I believe that everyone that I came into contact with deserves to move up into higher positions if they wanted to. Keep up the great work and hope to see each one...
