HORRIBLE
My wife, 6 year old son and I travel within New England often and have frequently visited Five Guys franchise throughout the New England area and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Untill today that is. The three of us decided to have lunch at the Tilton location today. My son and I went and sat at a table while my wife went through the line and ordered. There were two other families at that time sitting at tables enjoying their lunch. After ordering and paying for our food, picking up my sons milkshake on her way by, my wife came and joined us at our table. At about the same time the manager came over to our table and demanded that if we weren't going to wear masks at our table we needed to wait for the rest of our food outside. I kindly pointed out to him that the now 4 other family's that were sitting at tables enjoying their lunch didn't have masks on either. His reply to me was that its not up for discussion either wait outside or leave. So I told him we would leave as long he he refunded our money. He agreed to refund us and even took and threw away my 6 year old sons milkshake right in front of him as he stood there crying in shame and embarrassment. I really hope that gave him the powerful feeling he...
Read moreI love this chain. The food selection is purposefully small. Burgers, fries, milkshakes. There are always 5 employees who are always visible from the rest of the restaurant. The burgers are very juicy and the fries have skins on them which I love. The volume of fries you get for a single order is often enough for you and a friend to share. There are fountain sodas and water. The milk shakes are the newest addition to the menu and I have yet to try one. Others have said they are good. It's sit in or take out but no staff to come to the table. (There are 5 people total) The seating is not the most comfortable. Small tables with metal chairs but we often get it to go. There are boxes upon boxes of free peanuts and they are open. There is lots of peanut dust in the air. There is a warning sign on the door stating this fact. I've been to 3 different Five Guys and none of them offered Salads, sandwiches or anything other than the items listed above. The prices are steep for burgers to go so we don't frequent them. They're very often located near strip malls so there's a good amount of parking on flat lots and generally visible from the road. If you're passing through and need a quick bite, I...
Read moreNothing special what so ever. You can tell that they just opened the business because it is not a "well oiled machine" like other five guys. I called to place an order to go and had to repeat myself multiple times, which isn't just this locations issue. If a customer is calling to place a to go order there should be a quiet area where the employee can step off the floor and get the order quickly and effeciantly for the customer. Not only was my order incorrect (I figured this out when I got home 20 minutes later) but the fries were INCREDIBLY salty. I actually threw my French fries away after only having a few. Out of my entire order the only thing correct was the shake that I ordered. I called the manager who did feel very bad and offered a meal on them the next time I came in - and I did appreciate his willingness to try and make this situation right (he was awesome) but at this point I had already made up my mind that I will not be returning to this location anytime soon. I didn't feel it was fair to waste his time trying to help a lost cause. They have a long way to go before they can compete with the...
