DXL Big + Tall Outlet — Local services in Tilton

Never posted a review on Google good or bad. Bought a new belt at this location in December and wore the belt three or four times before the leather part of the belt detached from the buckle. The end of the leather part of the belt was screwed to the buckle by tiny screws which either broke, loosened or were never tight enough to begin with. Went to return the belt today with the receipt that was emailed to me. I showed the belt to the clerk and asked what my options were. The clerk said she could not take the belt back even with the receipt because it did not have any tags on the belt. Who wears a belt with original tags?? I did not argue, that's not my style. I asked the clerk to throw the belt away for me because it was of no use to me and i went on my way. Sad to say after shopping this store for well over 20 yrs and spending somewhere around $15K during that time, I can no longer shop at DXL. This DXL in Tilton has the just about the regular selection of big and tall as every other DXL store, but what makes this outlet special is the racks of discounted merchandise. Most of it is 25% off, but there are occasionally some good bargains to be found. "Bargains" is a relative term, as the prices are pretty high to begin with. This store on it's own would only rate 2-1/2 stars from me, but where it shines is the staff. They are friendly and attentive, but never pushy. The people make this store 4 stars from me. I vacation in NH twice a year and always stop...

It is very frustrating when you offer deals such as $30 off when you spend $100 on regular priced items, but your store is primarily items on sale. Your pants and shirts that are less expensive when you buy two or more should be able to be purchased and not counted as sale items, because that is the regular deal every day of the year!! If you were to change this one thing you would see an increase in purchases from me, and I would bet more folks are feeling the way I am. I know I have heard people complaining in the store about the same...
