I’ve been here twice, time span of about 6 months. I had the Shepard pie the first time. I noticed a sweet flavor in it. Though it was decent and ate it. Tonight I went there again, ….. (in town because of work) I had Guinness soup, a salad and the sliders, pulled pork. The soup and salad were both great, but the pulled pork tasted as sweet as cake, it even had a sweet smell. It took a couple of bites to place the flavor, then it hit me, it tasted just like The Jiffy Muffin mix in the little blue box from Wally World. Not that the muffins are bad, it’s just that pulled pork should taste like pulled pork and Jiffy muffins should taste like jiffy muffins, and not vice vers. The bar was full of locals that seemed to be right at home, the place had a great atmosphere with all the sports channels on. The food wasn’t a deal breaker for me, there’s lots of other items in the menu. I enjoyed myself

I had coconut shrimp was crisp and done very good. Chicken and wild rice soup can't say enough it was excellent. Seasoned just right. My partner ordered the big soft pretzel it was huge. Slightly Crisp outside and soft inside perfect in our opinion. I wasn't so thrilled about the Shepard pie it was way over seasoned. Our waitress was on her cell phone instead of paying attention to the customers. Bartender was busy as the place was mildly busy and most were at the bar counter. Beef chicken and bacon hoagie was delicious my partner ordered. It's a cute little pub and grille. Saw things on thee menu you wouldn't think for a pub which was a nice change of pace. There's inside outside and bar seating. Seems very friendly. If you order unsweetened tea it is $2 a glass after the first glass though. I'm diabetic so it's what I drink instead of soda.

Went to a business meeting at the Delta hotel. Did not feel like eating at the hotel lobby. Instead, I ventured out to a local establishment close by. Do not be intimidated by the Lou Turk venue..... I absolutely recommend this place for anyone visiting the area. I love the energy of the staff and the local patrons. The place has amazing characters. The "music bingo" was extremely entertaining even though I didn't participate. Regarding the food and beverage choices, there are a lot great options for even the most discerning of palates. The "mini" cheesesteak is more than enough for your average person. Based on the quality and price, it is an incredible value and much better than what the hotel had to offer. I wish there were more places like this in the world. Highly recommended!

This place was pretty busy, had live music and the staff was super friendly. I haven't had such a cheap beer in over 10 years and the food was absolutely delicious. I've never heard of putting apples on a burger or Shepherds Pie Egg Roles!

The downside is that they clearly use low quality (most likely highly processed vegetable oil) for their grease. A couple of hours after eating here I got heartburn for the first time in probably 14 years. For that reason, I'll never eat here again. If you don't have issues with grease or regularly eat fast food quality foods, you're probably fine here.

The other (and largest issue I see) is that they have racist propaganda everywhere and clearly don't cater to the non-caucasian customes. I'm all for supporting local fire departments, but we all know blue lives matter is a way to say Police matter more than innocent lives, especially black. I'd expect that in the South, but I would have walked out and found another place had I have noticed the messages filled with hate prior to ordering. This is another reason I'd recommend staying away. Let your hard earned dollars not support a place like this. It's sad this kind of societal disconnect is still present in today's age. Racists are always going to be racist...

Monaghans is the kind of pub you wish you had in your hometown. I travel quite a bit for my job and a few years back I had the great pleasure of discovering Monaghans. Everytime, and I mean without exception that I gave travelled back to Philadelphia, Monaghans is on my “must do” things. I just came back to Philadelphia again for 3 days and both of my evening dinners were at Monaghans. The food is great, the Hot Roast Beef with provolone, mushrooms and onions is truly amazing! I have made it a point to try all of their Specialty dinners which are also very large and will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Get the soup of the day, it is homemade fresh and if it halpens to be the tomato tortellini, well consider yourself lucky because you are in for a treat. Cold beer on tap is my beverage of choice, but they also have a full bar and eager wait staff to tend to your needs. Everyone is friendly, even a stranger in a strange olace like me felt like I was amongst friends and family. Thank you...

Wow...2 of us went in for drink and dinner...It was as if we were not even sitting at the bar. We felt as if she was socializing and waiting on the locals and ignoring us. We had to flag her down for a drink....we were trying to place an order and she went across the bar and picked up a locals glass filled it with beer and went to the other side...we had to wait for her to pass again to order. Felt as if we were not there...not welcome...had to get a menu from a local when they were thru with theirs..excuse me...can we order something? ...yeah was her response..Shift change...thought it would be better....lol nope! Same treatment! Had to flag her down for ketchup.. person I was with ordered an appetizer, she had to ask could she order something else...had to ask for silverware, to go box...check...never a thank you! She never ask if we needed anything...we didnt even rate a look our way..Both made us feel as if we were not even there and we were not welcome. It's such a shame bc the...
