This place is lovely. I have been there so many times each time it had a different name and was a totally different place just same location. I think that this one is the one. It's the best one for sure. It has a family vibe but you can also go there with friends or coworkers, it's even a nice place to celebrate a birthday or special event. It is comfortable for all ages. I am 37 and I could definitely hang there with friends my age but also enjoy going with my older family and I know my older family goes there often with lots of their friends. I went once to celebrate my engagement and my family is a lot to handle at restaurants sometimes and I will just say that the staff and waiters have so much patience and I saw a whole baby projectile vomit partially if not mostly onto a waitresses back and she should have flipped out and left but she handled it with such grace....she wasn't my waitress but I noticed all the staff was soooooooooo nice so patient and made you feel like you were at home doing whatever you want. The food .....omg the food was amazing. I got steak and it was perfectly cooked medium with veggies and soup and the soup was perfect I love french onion soup and it's so good there......have I said enough ???? You just gotta go and check it out. It has a nice cabin in the woods type vibe, I just feel like a nice winter meal with friends and family is a nice inexpensive time here..... Make sure you tip well too and keep going back and get good meals and treat the staff well and I hope this place is around for a while so I can continue to enjoy it!!!! So... this place. The name says it all. The atmosphere is great and if I was from here and knew the owner, I might pay their prices and eat their food. But... I have no personal investment in it, so I can only tell you about what I experienced. The portion sizes were great and the fries are fantastic. Thats where the food positives end. The sandwich I had was dry and way too salty. The Mac and cheese my wife had was dry, bland and under salted. Hers came out in a bowl on top of a plate with a litterally dozen pieces of wilted baby lettuce. We just thought it was super odd... The wait staff were super friendly, but management needs to look at the way things are run in the dining room as well as the kitchen. We were in the furthest table from the bar, yet they had the bartender wait our table. As you can imagine, she came to our table very few times. She was super friendly when she did, but why her? There were less tasked people who could have waited on us and been more available. There was a bus boy who constantly roved with not a ton to do and there were other waiters that had only one or two tables. It was just really odd. Nothing in our experience made it actually bad (I honestly can't give less than 3 stars overall), but I would probably recommend a frozen pizza from the super market before I could recommend this place. Went for lunch with my mom. Experience started off great ! Then my mom found a hair in her food. Hey it happens. I work two jobs working in customer service. I am very understanding and this is the first time I have ever had to leave a bad review. When we gave the hair to the waitress with no apology she said idk how that happened it’s not our cooks hair color . She took the hair in the kitchen . She did not apologize, did not offer to make another sandwich, or take it off the bill . Upon getting our bill we asked why nothing was done about the issue. Not even a sorry . Our waitress said “well I don’t know how that could have happened . Our cook does not have light hair , you do . So basically we were accused of putting hair in our food . I bartend/waitress part time and manage a business full time . And in both my jobs I would have never handled it like this . Completely unprofessional! Without making this all negative I do have to say the food was great . Thankfully Emily came over to rectify the issue. You should be very thankful to have someone like Emily working there . She is great . I am willing to give Local’z another try , thanks to Emily , accidents happen. But is that waitress is working I will walk right back out.
