Today at 7pm I was racially profiled and targeted! I am a brown Hispanic! This employee, a 70 year old women (told me herself) snapped her fingers at me to move out of the way without saying excuse me, which is disrespectful to a customer! I asked her politely if she wanted me to move and she looked shocked that I spoke English! So I moved out of the way and went to another section to look at rugs and who was front of me? The 70 year old employee! My sister wanted to see what the rug looked like and she displayed it on the ground and instead of telling us nicely she starts yelling at her to get it off the ground! I never had this issue before in any other store trying to see what the rug looked like? I began to feel a bit targeted so I asked her if there was a problem? She told me “In my 70 years as a good American I have lived here. I raised my 30 year old son who lives with me and helped out my old husband? Us Americans are good people!” What does that have to do with anything? She just assume because I had an accent that I wasn’t an American? That whole comment was just unnecessary! Then she snatched the rug from my sisters hand and put it back! She kept asking my sister if I was upset and mad like I didn’t understand what she was saying?! She could have just asked me? A few minutes later we went to the front in line to purchase our things and she stands in the front of the counter and starts ranting to the coworkers and customers in high volume so everyone can here “my ancestors were free so I can walk wherever I want to go” that comment was just unnecessary as well! I love this tjmax but I won’t go again if this happens again! Please check your employees so this never happens to...
Read moreI was walking down an aisle with my 10 month old in the cart. In the isle was a small box with just a small rug pushed to the side with no worker in site so while walking by the box I just rolled it a lil more to the side so I could get by and then a worker runs over and shoved my cart back so hard and she’s started yelling that it was safer to shove my child in the cart then to walk by a small cardboard box below the cart and when I said no you can’t shove my child tho. As I was walking away uncomfortable with her rude interaction she said “it fine I have one” to referring to my baby “he’s 35” or whatever “he’s still alive” while insinuating and saying I put my baby in harms way to make it seem like I was harming my child when she’s the one who like whipped my cart back. She was embarrassed or somthing so she was calling me a bad mom bc other people were staring at her like WTH.they saw the whole thing. I’ll go to Dartmouth next time to avoid crazy workers….actually...
Read moreYou find such great deals there. I just replaced my living room set with the most gorgeous set I found there. The only issue is that they don't have any inventory management system in place and I need two of the little cocktail tables and two more of the matching pillows that I found and I have driven to every TJ Maxx within 30 mi looking for them and I finally started calling all the other t.j maxx's in the greater Boston metro and Rhode island area because I need a matching table and two pillows and there's no way to go about this easily. They don't have anything on their website you have no ability to call them and give them the style number for them to check and see if they have it absolutely no way to do anything in efficient manner. I really want to pull this whole thing together and it's torture to try and find one more of these tables and two more of these decorative...
