I have been going to this movie theater for years, and was extremely disappointed by the experience my boyfriend and I had tonight. We had made reservations for a 9:40 showwing of John Wick in theatre 3. When we arrived a couple minutes after 9:40, the there were no ads and no movie being shown. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before asking for someone to start the movie.The blue lights that "automatically" turn off, turned off until the movie completely stopped about 30-40 mins before the ending. We went out to inform the crew the movie had stopped, and when they started it back up they rewound it by about 30 minutes. We again had to go back, at which point someone came in and assisted us. When they left, blue lights that automatically turn off stayed on which made the picture very hard to see. My boyfriend went to ask for them to be shut off after waiting 5 mins to see if it would automatically shut off. He came back to tell me that if he didn't like it, he could leave, as the lights turn off automatically and could not be corrected.
I get that mistakes happen, technology goes haywire, but my boyfriend being disrespected and told he could "leave" when there were numerous issues affecting everyone watching the movie is unacceptable. Read moreI really like the fact that Fall River has a movie theater again. It’s usually a pretty great experience. I do feel like I need to bring up something though because it’s happened the past two times I’ve gone to see a movie. I like to order my tickets ahead of time especially if I know the movie just came out and it’s a busy night. But the past two times I’ve gone there someone has taken our seats. And it doesn’t really make sense to me considering that’s half of the process of getting a ticket is choosing which seats you sit in ahead time. The second time it happened we confronted the person who took our seats (mainly cause at first we were like seems like no one wants to sit in their right seats so we sat somewhere else and the people who bought those seats kicked us out) the ones who took ours gave us a hard time about it even though we had physical receipts of which seats we picked. It was a group of three and one ended up moving my guess is that they had slim pickings when they chose the showing and thought that they could just get away with sitting together. I really think it would be a great idea to get extra staff especially on busy nights to make sure people are sitting in their assigned seats because if not I’m honestly better off going to amc where idk rules matter?
