Ordered via the Domino' s app as usual (806 pm) Easy enough. The problem with the app is that it doesn't inform you of the time it will take until after you place an order. 75-85 minutes. What? On a Sunday at 8pm. Anyone who knows how the app works knows it shows you the progress. Being made, in the oven, etc... Our order was double checked (the step before delivery) at 826 pm and then nothing. Still being checked at 840. Still being checked at 850. 906 pm our order is out for delivery. Cool. We only live less than a mile away off Kenwood. 20 mins until a knock on the door. I ask "What took so long?" Driver says "Understaffed." That doesn't explain 20 mins to deliver. I say "That doesn't really make this acceptable." "Talk to the manager..." as he's walking to his car. Of course, the pizza was barely warm. Actually closer to cold. Like it had been out of the oven for, oh I don't know, 45 mins. This location must cater mostly to UT students who aren't too concerned about when their food shows up. A working family with kids shouldn't have 2 wait for over an hour to receive below average service and cold pizza. We will never order from this...
Read moreI ordered a large pizza with some cheesy bread (delivery) .The person who I spoke with gave me a heads up on how short they are on drivers(2) and that it would be around a hour and 15 mins before they could get to us in which I had no problem waiting. But the problem became 2 hrs had gone by and no one came then the last 30 mins of the 2 hrs i was calling none stop back to back and no one picked up the phone . I am very unsatisfied and will be speaking to someone in the morning about this because busy or not you could at least give me the common courtesy of answering the phone and letting know me what's going on. Then when I finally get in touch with someone they tell me it would be another 30 mins before they get to us so I asked to speak to the manager who I feel was not handling the situation in a manner of being understanding . Read moreIt took three tries to call before someone took our order. First time, we were put on hold, waited several minutes before hanging up and tried again. Second time, on hold again. We were then hung up on. Luckily, the third time was successful.
We went to go pick it up. Our order was ready when we arrived. As we were being checked out, one of the workers presents the pizza to us and asks if it looks good to us. To avoid conflict, we said yes.
The pizza was in shambles, looking as though it was cut with a butter knife. The cheese looked darkened, and was not melty-looking like a fresh pizza should be. It made it appear like it had been sitting for an hour, when it had only been five minutes at the most. The pepperoni was overcooked, and whichever seasoning/spice they added on top looked like the bottle of it was poured directly on the middle...
