Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Tomball

I am not typically a burger person but I am so glad I stopped in to check this place out. This isn’t your typical burger. The burger is a smash burger style, very thin with crisp edges and it just slaps. I ordered the #1 no onions with fries and a drink. Their fries are these amazing shoe string fries which you can have topped with nacho cheese, which is a rare indulgence for me and my other half, but a delightful treat when we stop here. He normally gets the chicken sandwich and tried the spicy chicken sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. We usually order takeout which I get nervous about as I am not one for cold food, but everything is packaged well and remained crisp and fresh upon our arrival at home. We are a little shy of 5 miles away so it makes it an even better choice when we have the urge for quick dinner. I’ve had only one meh experience here which was an apathetic cashier but haven’t seen them since that time. Overall a great family restaurant for burgers, chicken sandwiches and we just observed recently they have hot dogs and chili and patty melts as well. Their custard is really good too but a bit heavy if you’re not a big sweets eater....

I heard we had a Freddy's in Tomball and decided to try it. I wasn't disappointed. I got the double steak burger w Fries and a chocolate shake. The restaurant was busy so we waited a little longer for our orders than normal, I suspect. Our patience was rewarded with a hot meal to grab from the counter. As far as I can tell, Freddy's Steak burgers are prepared and cooked "Smash" style, which I like. Mine had a very slight warmed-over flavor to it. The fries were hot and crispy shoe-string style and I tried the spicy mustard. I prefer my fries larger with my big clumsy fingers, but they were tasty. My favorite part of the meal was the chocolate shake. It was rich and delicious. You definitely need the extra thick straw to enjoy it. It's almost like pudding in consistency. I highly recommend the shakes. I consider FreddIy's to be a top-notch burger place in the FFood category, up there with Culver's and other iconic burger places. I...
