The good food does not make up for poor service and overbooking. We have been dining at Fiore Rosa for years. The food has always been good but the service has declined significantly. The last time we were there we waited so long for our dinner that we were offered a free desert.
Since, for the first time ever, we would not be spending Mother's Day with our daughters I thought it would be nice to go to one of our favorite restaurants for a nice dinner with my wife. We made a 6:00 pm reservation and a few days later Daniele called and asked if we could make it 6:30. I agreed. When we arrived at 6:20 there was a sign on the door stating that due to state regulations, the maximum time for a dinner was 90 minutes. My wife and I were seated on time and ordered as soon as we could. By 8:00 pm our main course had not arrived. My wife is type one diabetic so she has to be very aware of her glucose levels. I asked the table of 6 next to us how long it took to get their meal. They said 40 minutes to an hour. We were there over an hour and still no sign of our meal. To me this was unacceptable. Our waitress came by after about 30 minutes and said our meal would be right out. Bottom line is I was very disappointed and my insulin dependent wife had to eat. So, after 90 minutes after our arrival, I told the waitress we couldn't wait any longer and had to leave. When we got home I called the restaurant and asked to speak to Daniele. To put it mildly she was rude, would not let me finish a sentence and blamed COVID, the holiday and overbooking for the long wait. She said it takes an hour and 20 minutes to get a meal out under these conditions. Well, nobody told us that. Every time I tried to speak she put it back on me. I've never done this before but I actually hung up on this arrogant person. No apology for not telling it would take and hour and 20 minutes to get our meal. For those of you who know me, I am a calm easy going person who agreed to the change in reservation time without question. I'll say it one more time, I have never, EVER encountered such an arrogant, "I'm better than you" manager and I have NEVER hung up on anyone except someone who was trying to sell me an extended warranty on my car.
Daniele, you should be ashamed of yourself for talking to a long standing customer like he doesn't matter and it's all his fault. Maybe a little compassion and I'm sorry for the wait would have been better than attacking me. We've even recommended you restaurant to friends and brought friends to dine with us.

Read moreWhat a wonderful dinner I had here with the family last night. The fried calamari was lightly fried, not greasy and very tender. It was absolutely delicious. Liked their two sauce options. Everyone loved their entrees. I had grandma’s chicken, wife had breaded chicken, sausage & broccoli raab. If I had to ding my dish at all, I would’ve liked a little thinly sliced garlic. Im a garlic lover. Daughter had chicken piccata. There was nothing left on her plate. Son had chicken parm. Not our first time here and the experience with the food has been consistently excellent. Service was also top notch. Both servers were professional & very attentive. Have already recommended to friends who live nearby and I will definitely be back. Great job & a great place!
Went here again tonight. I had the veal scarpariello. It will now be impossible to not order this dish every time I eat here. Just amazing with totally cohesive & complimentary ingredients. Bravo to the chef! Once again the calamari was light & tender. All new waiters & servers from last week and they were all just as attentive and professional as last week. What a...
Read moreOur first time there. Upscale casual eatery. Called for reservations, lucky got same day. It is BYO.
For being a lil noisy, the service was top notch. Our server, Kate, was polite and friendly. She gave us enough time to peruse the menu, but not so much as to feel neglected. As it was noisy (read busy), I pointed to what we wanted. Mussels in marinara (app), veal parm, and the filet au poivre, rasbery sorbet.
Mussels were UGE and fresh, marinara was mild but flavorful. Salads (ceaser and house) were very good. Veal was fork tender, FORK TENDER, fresh, delicious and breaded to perfection. Filet was also fork tender, that cream sauce is good enough to pour on everything, and the little crostini, YUM! The sorbet was encased in chocolate, and perfect for sharing.
To top it off, we were introduced to the chef/owner.
This was a perfect way to celebrate our (mine and hubbys) 10 year anniversary.
BRAVO! We will...
