Manhattan Bagel — Restaurant in Toms River

I have been to this location many times. While their product is top notch, it appears they have hired IDIOTS to work the front end. Unfortunately today the manager was in the back working the kitchen not paying attention to the circus going on up front. The girls working the front end need some re-training, re-calibration, or maybe new employment that doesn't involve a customer service oriented position. They could not keep track of orders, lack organizational skills and ability to multi task. They could not effectively take an order. I walked in with another customer there was NO line, he went first to the register and placed his order. When it was then my turn and I was told by the chick with the frizzy hair that the "line starts over there". I turned around there was 4 people waiting "in line" who clearly came in after me. I walked out without making a purchase. I strongly advise the franchisee to make some adjustments to the front end. You are not operating an effective establishment and I will not visit this...

So Food is good but customer service is terrible, two young girls at the counter all they were doing is gossiping and joking with friends (pretty loud) while line has 3-5 people waiting at times. Then while waiting 3 young boys came in made order, never paid, not even sure if their order was ever even rung up. Then watched as their order was completed first handed to them then one of the boys who by conversation I was assuming was also an employee that was off duty. Picks up two drinks asks if she even wants to ring them through the computer she does and comps them as well. Clearly an example of taking care of their friends and not their customers. Super Poor Customer Service, ordered 3 chicken salad wraps and was given hot chicken wraps. food was brought back to work and everyone started eating prior to realizing, since we were starving. called and manager could not care less. she said that since the food was partially eaten that there was nothing they could do. my work location will no longer purchase from this location, and my family and I will not purchase from any manhattan bagel every again. It's a shame, and I even gave the manager a chance to do the right thing. She got nasty. end of story. Poor show Manhattan...
